Why are World Quests SO AWFUL?!?

Once per week I believe.

the quests themselves are okay - it is the respawn rates which are ridiculously low

I agree - I can’t stand killing rares for rep unless they are up constantly and considering I rarely come across them I am doubtful about that.

it’s artificial gameplay time added to make their numbers look good. Notice how there are never any more "kill one boss mob " world quests any more. Gold nerfed, longer quests, dragonflight races longer . It’s trash

Did this quest yesterday. Went to the area and saw a few people standing around. I ran over the dust clouds on the ground, and killed the worms. Took about 5 minutes total. The people standing around would all swoop in after I summoned the worms.

Yeah sure ya did bud.

I flew around forever looking for dusty poofs on the ground and found like 3 before I just left.

And regardless or not if you did, it does not change the fact that the World Quest design is by far the worst it has ever been.

God how I miss dailies… Just give me a few daily hubs and let me go grind some quests out.

You’re only supposed to run 2-3 to open up the purple WQ. I think they forgot some of these need drastically increased spawn rates. Or dynamically adjusting ones (I thought they were until this xpack disabused me of that notion).

Well, if they are up constantly then they wouldn’t be “rare”.

However, by that same token, it shouldn’t be the best way to get rep by such a large margin. It basically relegates WQs into uselessness.

Right now, if you want renown and you are not killing rares, you are just doing it wrong.

“Kill 15 nerubians”

Except the quest gives 30 kej so everyone and there mother is there and you’re lucky if there’s one nerubian alive at any given moment . . .

Not sure If I have done that wq or if I were lucky but there was a wq yesterday that I disliked, the one where you attacked 12 material “blobs”, my first thought why 12? That’s too many for that type of a wq.

Whoever designed the one where you collect the rocks in the bucket…

I hate this person.

Totally heinous world quest. The epitome of tedium.

UGH GOD DON’T EVEN MENTION THAT ONE. I despise it with my whole being. They should be arrested.

At least with the nerfed gold rewards I have 0 reason to ever touch a world quest again

Respawn rates for many things suck. It never ceases to amaze how Blizzard devs can create problems that were solved a decade or more ago.

Didn’t see anyone mention it, so just for future reference:

There are way more in the lake.

There are a ton of WQs with way, waaaaaaaay too low of a spawn rate.

To increase playtime metrics. Ion and his minions are not looking to make a game more so then they are to keep players on the hamster wheel. Timegating, treadmills, grinds, are all part of that gameplay design to keep players playing. So, they think as long as you have “something” to do, you won’t recognize that its not actually fun.

Or people could open their eyes and, for example, look in the lake for fish-men to do for the quest.

Ion is not responsible for so many WoW players being so, well… stupid.

I still stand behind what I said. If you think otherwise you are foolish.
