Yeah the old pug days of Rbgs …X was the cc healer target and skull was kill. And once skull dies then X. I think that was also the way it was in raids and dungeons back in bc 
But simple works and I agree this would be amazing. However you can just pin drop on targets now
a lot of people really don’t like being marked, probably to prevent griefing.
Well you can mark your own teammates in blitz! As a healer I get marked all the time or if I’m team lead I mark healers. But I don’t know about enemies
That was my goal last night, I tried to mark both of our healers a couple times, and while it had the option, actually selecting a marker did nothing.
Only instance leader can do it. But I agree it would be nice to put it on enemies.
Instance leader (and everyone else if they make everyone assist) can mark your team. Use the ping (default g) system to mark enemies, its really helpful
Oh, so i just have to pray to rngesus the instance leader is willing to use that system T_T.
Too bad i cant opt in to be preferred like i can in dungeons.
I’ve not done a ton with the ping system admittedly, i’ll have to play around with it and see. Thank you for the info

at higher mmr the ping system is goated. super impactful and helpful to try to communicate with people who never / refuse to read chat
You can’t even mark enemy players in PvP period. Only friendly players.
You can ping enemies and it puts a temporary icon over their heads. Better than nothing

To be used with shadowsight to ping rogues on the map with a nice red warning!

This was never a thing though. You have never been able to mark enemy players (skull, x, circle etc) in PvP. One of the reasons the ping system was welcomed by some.

I remember using an addon called something like, KillTheHealer, at one point to put marks on people, not sure that’s a thing anymore
It was at the start of TBC and then removed halfway through if i remember correctly

Right but they said in RBGs. That is what I am referring to. I know you could for a very brief time when arena was first implemented but ya that was a LONG time ago now and long before RBGs lol.
