Because the whole zone is underground – Hence ‘within’ Azeroth.
We’re at war with the forces of the void & other menaces – Hence the ‘war’.

Cuz a lot of it is taking place underground with Horde+ Alliance working together a lot better now, but still not completely.

This might come as a shock to you, but there’s more than just “Horde” and “Alliance.”

It’s a war between the denizens of Azeroth and the minions of the Void, deep within Azeroth’s crust.

i think its the war within because near the end of it… we will have internal strife and faction melting.
void vs light situation.
we kinda already know from that nzoth eye thingy that theres allot of hidden worshipers in the alliaance + horde.

Anduin is just part of those that must be deleted, just look at his skin. His ‘ilk’ is tough to delete… so there must be psyche warfare to make him have a war within himself to hate himself. That’s just my take on all this? This really is pure insanity…but it’s been brewing for over 200-2k years at least. This is just my observation.
