Definitely feel the same but I started enjoying the game more by not caring about what I didn’t understand… once I find out “oh you mean I wasted all my time doing X instead of Y” is when I will quit.
For now I am having fun doing delves and just leveling up a warband.

If you were willing to put up with the pure RNG version for 3 months, then wait another potentially 2 months for the one you wanted to appear on the vendor rotation.

Yeah. You’d think they could at least have new versions. Maybe use IF/UC instead of just doing SW/Org again.
8.3 was disliked because of the 8 billion chore list of things you had to do per alt. Visions were fine and enjoyable
I hate timed stuff but if it has decent rewards ill suffer through it.

Umm, it was here the first time. And we asked for it to come back.
Trust me, replay of old ideas can be the better option. Cata did not get LFR for final patch like the last time. we got heroic protocol dungeons to give out the gear LFR would have given.
After a few nightmare runs here…you may find yourself going LFR would have been better than this crap.
Which, if you believe the community feedback that RNG loot is bad, the current system is is better at addressing that feedback.
Horrific visions were cool
Corruptions gear was not.
Visions were ok content wise on their own - combined with corruptions and the currency chore farming they could be annoying to run each week.
Somehow, I feel like even now 16 years after the fact people in lfr ultraxion would still not push the button and continually wipe to that boss.
I recall people liking the horrific visions, just not the entry fee and the RNG of the corruptions. Bringing back visions doesn’t automatically imply either of those other two will be a problem again.

Blizzard ran out of ideas, time to start recycling again.
We sure are. I remember the constant complaining on the forums about horrific visions. Maybe your mind surpressed them or you forgot because of a maxed out cloak at the end for awhile, but I seem to recall:
Constant complaints early on about how some classes such as DH and Hunter being able to 5 mask with ease while other specs had some massive trouble
INSANE crying about loss of control effects such as the forced fire jumping, especially when it would throw you into mobs that would then do things like fear/stun you to death. I mean I was 5 masking for a long time and those effects were not that fun

I don’t remember visions being timed?
They were resource constrained and that depleted overtime/getting hit but you could refill your resource too. I actually enjoyed it that aspect of it.
I forgot about the corruption vendor and the rotation though… THEY CANNOT do that this time!!! Also if they gate access to each attempt instead of making it more like delves I probably wont like it.
Its a roguelike, I should be able to infinitely run it and get better and better until I can faceroll it (like death must die). The actual gear rewards can be time gated via the end reward chest system but everything else should be open.
Almost like different people with different opinions exist on the forum as with any forum.
To OP, because it was fun.
