I think assuming that it’s not possible to make it good is premature, but more importantly, if people want a version of it, who cares if it ends up underpowered? Let people play things they enjoy.

If it can’t be made viable for raiding (and I’m not prepared to concede that point), it can be an off spec people can use for soloing or PVP.

I think a lot of people forget that 2h warrior was just unusable in original vanilla due to how outclassed it was by dual wield. The runes have at least allowed 2h to be comparable to dual wield.
Though I will say the boot slots for runes? Super mediocre.
Also to your note on PvP? Agreed, warrior is awful in PvP but I hate Vanilla PvP, it’s way too antiquated and has too many issues even outside of just warriors (cough cough Melee bad cough cough)

Popularity wasnt the issue. You said Shield Slam doesnt scale. That is factually incorrect. It scales with SBV at a 1:1 rate. Meaning 1 point of block is 1 point of damage. Which means any gear which gives Strength(20 str gives +1 SBV) or gives SBV will increase SS damage.
