Void lords keep whispering to Alleria, who is a void lord lackey, to go kill Sylvanas.

Because she can’t be defeated. Literally, any time you defeat her, she’s just like “I meant for you to do that, this was all part of my master plan get on my level lmao”.
This expansion is going to end with her somehow being so good at 4D chess that she outwits the cleverest Old God of them all.

My guess is that sylvie is going to try and use xeleteth and the master glaive to capture/steal old god/void lords powers for herself.
Then try to kill everyone with all the weapons, power, allies, and back door deals she’s been plotting.

They aren’t, that’s just people being stupid. All the whispers were doing was trying to drive Alleria insane. Doing their best to try to push her over the edge and fully succumbing to their power. They knew that pushing her to kill her sister in that moment would have a good chance of her failing and falling under their power.

It seems to me like there are two possibilities:

They think Sylvanas is a threat, and want her removed from the chess board. Given how many times she has turned a seeming defeat into a power play, this seems reasonable.

They think Alleria is a threat, and think sending her against Sylvanas is a good way to remove that threat. If Alleria really has figured out how to shield herself from the danger of the void, this seems pretty reasonable, too. I mean, the inevitability of void corruption is their best weapon, so if Alleria can neutralize it, that would be a real threat to their power.

People are looking at this in all the wrong ways.
They’re not afraid of Sylvanas, they know Alleria is afraid of Sylvanas and are trying to root themselves deeper into her mind. If Alleria were to give in to their whispers and kill Sylvanas, I’m sure that would devastate her, making it easier to the Void to corrupt her.

Because the lich queen wants to kill everyone in the world from both factions and raise them as undead under her control, which means the void lords would have a much, much harder time controlling them ( canonically undead are highly resistant to old god and void corruption, although not immune )
The Void Lords would be quite displeased if Sylvanas tried to create an enslaved Undead Titan. Sylvanas refuses to be controlled and if she turns Azeroth Undead she wouldn’t be sharing.
This is one reason why the Void Lords tell Alleria to kill Sylvanas and one reason why N’Zoth tells the Player in 8.2 to kill Sylvanas. That and there is apparently a true enemy who is growing hungrier and bolder that has struck a bargain with the Light.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Elune was secretly Sylvanas’s backer and using her to turn Tyrande into her host so that she can go Mad Queen on Kalimdor.

Just because they’re telling Alleria to kill her? I’m sure they’ve told her to do many things.
They’ve told her to do many things but it definitely seemed like the voices were freaking out when she met her in the comic. Of course, whether or not they actually were is a different issue.
I sense a bit of sarcasm but at the same time I can reasonably see how it would be in her character to play her cards that well. Not just because of plot armor, but because it’s a wonder how she was able to last as long as she did fighting against the Scourge.
