A ton of people just use it for leveling as it is much faster than the original content. I think it’s fine, not everyone wants a long leveling process (:

Why do people act like there’s no middle ground between “afk walk through” and “Mythic+”?
Because they want A so they can lord over B faster.
Because the loot from timewalking is basically garbage. Go do the raid for a little bit more of a challenge.
I did a grimrail yesterday where I actually had to pump some heals occasionally, just due to a generally bad party. Our tank was a prot pally using a 2 hander, and in actuality he was so slow the rogue did a lot of tanking anyways.
Here’s something you can try. Go to the AH and get the lowest level gear you can find. Then take all the talents out of your talent tree. Then try again. Is it still too easy?
lower the number required for the weekly prize…just go to 1 TW dungeon and customers will relax a bit…
Yeah, I definitely wish TW gave more a challenge, not because it needs to be a challenge, but because it needs to feel like you’re actually playing the game.
This shouldn’t be a run simulator where you just get to see the sights and sounds of previous dungeons.
That Quills ability absolutely would’ve killed me in a few ticks years ago. Only the first time this week did I think about hiding, until I realized they barely tickle now.
I appreciate the quick leveling of alts I’ll never play otherwise, but it’s not an enjoyable experience.
Here’s the thing… They could actually keep the pace and time the same for leveling alts, While also making the dungeons much more engaging. Yeah they would take 3x as long to do, but give the players 3x the exp to compensate.
You’ll be engaging with the game more, and still have the same pace. The only difference is the World Quest itself would be the one thing that takes longer for less gain. But it would make everything else about TW so much better.
I just wish the dungeon pool was bigger. I always hate when it’s classic because its the same like 4 god awful dungeons.
Because there isn’t. Have you done Mythic+? Have you done raiding outside of LFR?
We’re talking about dungeons that have been ran thousands of times, and are all old dungeons. Get in, and get out.
if you want something that takes more time, go DO something that takes more time.
Challenge belongs in challenging content, not Timewalking dungeons.

Timewalking dungeons in the past used to have some meaning, mechanics could not be ignored and yet, the fights were still very easy.
Stop acting like there’s zero wiggle room or that killing bosses in ~20 seconds is good for the game.
TW in the past never used to have meaning, it never was that way.
And even if it was, it isn’t now - That’s something you’ll need to get over.
Again: If you want a challenge, go do challenging content.
There’s harder content in the game you can play. TW is supposed to be easy.
There was maybe one moment when it was like this (ICC TW maybe?), then everything got the nerf bat for the reason I stated above.
It is good for the game. It’s for leveling alts and mogs. If the content was difficult no one would queue up for TW. There’s raiding, M+, 11 Delvs, Delv Boss. There is more than enough “difficult” content. We need some easy stuff (LFR, TW) for people who don’t want everything to be difficult
I mean, geared 80s are now at 665+ ilvl versus 630 ish? Assuming 1ilvl = 1% more damage they’re doing 35% more damage than before so yeah, they’re going to melt through things. Also the Luck of the Draw buff for 15% helps a lot too.
This person in question doesn’t do anything challenging though, so no wonder… Their idea of challenge is probably tagging an elite world quest mob.
As long as all toons can use Timewalking no matter their level the dungeons will never be balanced because of wonky scaling.
Mayve Blizz should split them into Normal/Heroic. Normal for leveling and tuned the way they are currently and Heroic for max level toons with better rewards and a Hero cache for doing the Weekly like we get from Mythic week.
