The weekly quest for timewalking is so boring as youre basically just walking through a dungeon. To easy. Zzz
There seems to be this design philosophy that Timewalking should be a faceroll instead of what we originally asked for. And Blizz has always kept it a faceroll. Especially since it scales from level 10 on up now.
Good thing there’s like…five other pieces of content that have much, much higher skill ceilings that aren’t a week event, intended for players to get neat stuff and level alts.
I don’t know, I think it’s fine for what it is. A lot of folks didn’t like it during the times TW had some speed bumps. And some certainly had speed bumps.
Small minds who at the same time as saying Yes daddy lvl 11 uwu, rush me!
Will also turn around and say “im not carrying anyone in my raid/mythic.”
Its a never ending cycle, they want it super easy when they want easy then get mad when anything is brought up at all about their playstyle. Its all a dopamine addiction.
Geared level 80’s now seem to be like the level 11’s we had earlier in terms of melting everything in sight.
It wasn’t always faceroll. Take this months wod TW for example. A couple years ago, a group could very easily wipe on that bird boss in Skyreach when he did that feather attack if people didn’t hide behind the pillar. But now? Now everyone ignores it since it does basically zero damage.
Quills has always done a good chunk of damage. It still does.
There’s a difference between the boss getting roflstomped before he can even cast Quills now and watching dumb people stand in Quills to try to get the last 20% of his health.
Timewalking has never been the challenge people originally asked for.
It really doesn’t though. I’ve seen the difference. You can face tank quills damage on a DPS, let alone a tank. It used to give you about 2-3 ticks worth of damage before you were dead as a DPS.
It’s definitely not like that now.
This weeks version takes face roll to a new level. Last time wod was the tw it was easy but not this easy
Not from my experience of watching people die on it yesterday in several different runs.
The only difference is that everyone else killed the boss right after Quills without issue. The birds got ignored entirely.
I would love to see who is dying to quills in this day and age.
…or perhaps I wouldn’t now that I think about it.
Did that one this morning. I’m fairly well geared and just stood there shooting at him. TW has never been great for upgrading my gear but I enjoy it for the nostalgia.
Many people. It’s absolutely still possible if the boss even lives to cast Quills now.
I need to join your groups. I feel like they’d be a hoot.
You might call it… Timewalking through the dungeon!
Because people whine and moan on the forums or reddit if Timewalking offers any remote resistence to them.
Case in point, the people here who’ll defend level 11 twinks in TW.
God forbid you have to actually do simple boss mechanics or have even a minor threat of death.
They’re smooth runs. Everything gets melted. Just the occasional person who ignores there’s damage going out and doesn’t pay attention or use a defensive. It doesn’t stop the bosses from being melted.
Yesterday my ilvl 580 monk, who just hit 80 3 days ago, popped Touch of Karma through the quills and survived.
Two years ago that would have killed her, despite the defensive cooldown being used.
Then in my second round of TW dungeons yesterday, I specifically timewarped on that boss and we killed her before she even did quill.
I mean, the way Quill works it should kill anyone given enough time.
…If the boss survived long enough to get more than one cast off, if any.
Exactly.
Not only does the quills attack do very little damage compared to before. But the hp of bosses is lasting roughly half the time they used to. So yes, you don’t even get to see half their abilities anymore.
