Why are they nerfing witch doctor??
Because Enhance has a crazy amount of MSW generation, you can get massive CDR on Feral Spirits and have multiple Wolves out which is a large source of the specs power. Especially with the 4 set bonus. It’s a substantial nerf but enhance was already exceptionally strong so all this does is bring it more in line with other specs. Enhance is still in a pretty good spot.
It’s not too noticeable really, I checked it out on ptr and it wasn’t bad. With stormbringer you have basically full up time of at least 1 storm wolf anyway. A lot of the time you have 2 of them going.

I don’t really like witch doctor nerf but it’s at least understandable to me. The mangling of P-wave I don’t get however. Every 30 secs you get 10% haste and 5/10 stacks of MSW?? Trying to balance stormbringer and then inadvertently damage elemental totemic. Middle and right it is I guess.
Totemic Enhancement is a meme that the devs ran out of time developing for launch which is why it is getting redesigned in 11.0.5.
Some of the updates for totemic are decent…except the fact you still have to drag a totem around and have the enemy stand inside it’s radius. Just a crap design for any fight that’s mobile in PvE or PvP.
We heard you didn’t really like this change in the PTR so we decided to anticipate it and put it in live starting next week.
You can’t make this up
This change is boring. Giving us an extra 4% damage here and an extra 4% damage there is boring. Nobody notices 4% and even if you convince yourself that you do, you can’t possibly think that the 4 extra % actually feels more fun. You won’t even notice it if you are being honest anyway. Having wolves coming back up often was fun.
They are nerfing the fun and giving us boring flat percentages to “compensate”. That’s not how you do things if you know what you’re doing.
