Why are there so many trinkets?

If season 1 was only cloaks season 2 is only trinkets.

Yeah, and conquest gear caps out at 658 in PvE does it not?

That alone makes them functionally worthless to me. A crafted ring would be my first replacement and I’d have to have a second one, or a maxed mythic drop from the raid, just to dump the Circlet due to there being zero dungeon rings that are valid.

It’s alright specifically in single target, so just the raid. Dungeon trinkets would mostly be stuff like the Wax Whistle, the one from the first raid boss, signet, and Garbagemaster’s

Secondary stat trinkets don’t scale well with us, so most of our best options will always be weird damage procs and primary stat gain when it comes down to Trinkets.

I think the issue also is everyone wants BIS and wow relaly wants variety among players. Wow just needs to pick a lane and just have on thing we all strive for or make all things BIS thiugh theblatter would be hard and probably impossible.

Except stats matter. So a hots style healer with no haste will feel bad to play and underperform compared to the same hots healer with haste.

My class guide tells me to keep using cyrce’s circlet even into mythic so yaknow, count your blessings I guess.

92 trinkets and like 4 of them are good gg

Just going to posit that we have so many trinkets because crafters need shards?

Yeah about 4 out 5 drops is a trinket. And not even good ones, most of them are just immediately vendor trash. I assume its on purpose to slow down people getting gear. Its kind of ridiculous that trinket drops have become a literal meme for Blizzard.

Probably for the best to just get a necklace crafted.

Is it really that many? Good lord

I get we have different roles so each needs their own, but that’s still over 20 for each (tank, melee, caster, healer)

No. :dracthyr_crylaugh:

Because overdoing things is what Blizzard does best. Usually we are crying out for trinkets, now we’re flooded with them.

You’d think they’d have learned balance and moderation by now…

I don’t know.

But I would think a person pursuing Mythic gear options wouldn’t be making a thread about the wide variation in gear choices.

All I get are trinkets and none of them are even C+ make it make sense. If you are going to give me 15 trinkets, can one of them be flipping reasonable.

If it’s not trinkets, it’s boots. shrugs

if you dont mind a verse haste neck you can go get one from pvp go camp the pvp crates while watching movies till 500 or so conquest

To answer the question in the title: because they are just “stat sticks.” There is no artwork. Apply some combination of secondary stats and/or some random effect or use. Throw them out by the dozens with little effort.

They should really do the same with rings and necklaces as well but then the loot pools will probably be overwhelmed.

This is the point actually. Most of them are intended to be vendor trash. The only reason to add 50 trinkets to the loot table and make only a handful of them useful is to slow down people getting usable gear.

For my ‘pure’ Delves character I’m just hoping for 1-2 Hero pieces over the next few weeks. I know I’ve got all season but I’m itching to swap over sets. Then again S1 Brewmaster set is working well for T11s so I’m not exactly gonna miss how my no.2 most damaging ability resets my no.1 most damaging ability.

Already have ‘Delve’ bis trinkets according to raidbots.
