The Warglaives of Azzinoth were made the first and only exception.
Later, this transmog restriction was removed and all legendaries were made mogable.
Because the Warglaives were made a “reward” from an achievement, the higher ups decided that it “wouldn’t be fair” to those who already have the Warglaives unlocked.
That is the only reason they are not available for the other classes.
It’s not because it’s right or it’s how it should be.
Going from classic to retail and finding out that only DHs could transmog them was kind of a bummer. They were literally rogue and warrior bis in TBC!!
Meanwhile for w/e reason, Kul’Tirans and Zandalari have these weapons. Shadowlands, namely the gargoyles have them. And diving into Dragonflight, even some of the drakonids have these.
Its a *&$( poor excuse to think warriors cannot use them, let alone ONLY Demon Hunters can use them. Its even more a terrible excuse when BFA proved how stupid the logic is when we first saw the Night Elf more iconic glaives and it was designed JUST for Demon Hunters, ironic at its best…
Anyone who had the transmog unlocked before it was converted to “DH” only should have been allowed to keep it. Really unfair to remove it it in that case.
WarGlaive mog should be made available to any class that actually did the achieve.
My rogue has the glaives, my rogue did the achieves, my rogue should get the mog, not my stupid DH that didnt do anything but reach max level.
At this point blizz should just hotfix the actual items to be warglaives and bookend the conversation. If you don’t have the glaives achievement by that point, you’ll need to exclusively farm them on a DH and then do timewalking black temple (as it is now) on any character to unlock the mog option for DHs.
At this point I’m doubting that they actually drop anymore. I’ve been farming for the offhand for years. Every week some poor critter gets sacrificed, Illidan gets humbled and yet no offhand. it’s been YEARS. Sure it only takes 11 minutes to run but YEARS of those runs? I’ve built an entire house out of Bulwarks yet no offhand.
It’s a reasonable thing to expect a weapon type you can wield to be transmoggable, but were the Warglaives ever transmoggable by non-DH classes? If not, nothing has been taken (it was just never given).
This is BS! I finally got both glaives on my rogue and I cant even transmog them to my rogue!
I can transmog Thunderfury to any of my characters once I got it but this is restricted to a class I dont even want to play?
And the “they are glaives” excuse is rubbish! They are swords and were always swords, the ability to transmog them should be unlocked for any class that can equip them.
Because its a serious miscarriage of justice! This mog shouldnt be exclusive to DH when Rogues were able to use them LOOOOOOONG before DH even existed and glaives were made up to make them feel special.

however, it’s not like this is even the first time Blizzard has done this sort of backtracking. ask hunters about the pets they can no longer tame or were otherwise changed. any hunters here still have that slime? wish I’d grabbed that.
