Why are the Warglaives of Azzinoth DH only transmog?

These weapons are swords, they can be looted by multiple melee classes and were used by a few of them back in the day.

My monk can walk around in them, as he has both, but only DH can transmog them. This feels really bad to have weapons I can EQUIP, but not use the look of.

I believe these are the only weapons in the game that fall into this category, where you can equip them, but not use them for transmog.

Please fix this blizzard and make any class that can use them learn the transmog (even if they have to go through the timewalking gatekeeping process to be able to do so).

No other legendary has so much restriction on its use for transmog, it makes no sense that these are limited this way.

This was a stipulation we had to agree to in order for Illidan to help us out in Legion. He was super salty about us taking his warglaives way back when.

this is the only noticeable weapons for the demon hunters to mog
the reason it was labeled a swords was due to the idea of DH being played was not in question at the time.

To this day, I don’t understand how Warglaives aren’t also usable on Warriors. So much for being a “weapon master” class.

Because it is a warglaive?
The item category is sword because DH was not introduced in TBC ultimately, but now that there are DHs it does not make sense at all to have other unrelated classes use it…

DH’s can use Thunderfury, why are they not disabled from using this classic weapon that they didn’t exist for?

You have a million other weapon mogs. Illidan’s glaives are iconic DH weapons.

No? It makes no sense that ONE weapon set in the ENTIRE game is equippable but not transmoggable.

The obvious fix here is to also make them non-equippable and DH only. Easy fix.

op how would you feel if they redid the shadowmoun axe and lets say to transform it into frostmourn and only the dks with the weapon can only do the quest. even though you have the axe on a pally and a warrior. needs to be on a dk

To clarify, if you can loot it, you should be able to transmog it. Which is true for everything EXCEPT the glaives

I mean. Your argument to change it is basically “because i want it”, so your not exactly providing an eloquent discussion.

They are demon hunter only. Live with it. I aint complaining becaue i cant use the totem transmog on my dracthyr or even unlock it. Its a tauren item steeped in their lore and story, i accept and live with that.

No different here. Its a demon hunter weapon steeped in demon hunter lore and their leaders story. Therefore its a demon hunter weapon.

False. If i loot a 2h sword on my demon hunter i cannot transmog to it or unlock the transmog.
