it was in the login screen once you get to your character. was on the right saying 7amPST to 3pm PST… etc. But this only applies to the some classic and hard core realms… as you can see the classic seems to be back up but hardcore is still down and prob will be down till 3pm PST / 6PM EST Always check you login screen Tue morning before they take it offline.

With all the servers, its also possible that they have a rotation on which ones they do extended maintenance on, breaking them into groups, which could be why only the HC ERA servers are down but all the ERA servers are back up. Doing a fraction of the servers makes life far easier and reduces impact if complications arrise during maintenance. Haven’t checked WOTLK and don’t have retail installed so no ideas on those.
That said for the most part Tuesdays are maintenance days, fortunately and typically its fast but they do have extended maintenance sometimes, so it really shouldn’t be that big a surprise to anyone.
I think hc gonna be up in the next hour. no way a patch is so different between hc and era that it takes 6x as long to patch it.
Friendly reminder to not get too much accomplished while the classic HC servers are down…. Don’t want to set the bar unreasonably high.

yeah right Blizz will prob surprise all of you with a full expansion upgrade to WoTLK on Hardcore. totally skipping over Burning Crusade… or Blizz could be scanning your character just to see if you’re truly hardcore…

There was a few neutrinos that broke through the stratosphere at weird angle thus causing this hold up.

When I look at Era servers it shows up as “incompatible” the hardcore servers are “offline” I am not getting prompted to update.

The launcher info thing said it’d be down till 3pm pst time. It’s currently only 12:52pm. Then if something comes up they can just update the time. The amount of downtime is so small, compared to what it used to be. It used to be you would request that you work on tuesday, because you couldn’t play anyways. You’re just spoiled and entitled.
