Why are the gathering bots all drakthyr?

I’m leveling through the dragon isles for the first time and everytime I go for an herb 5-10 devastation evokers will all land at the same time and snatch it up before I get a chance. At first I thought they were normal players because the names weren’t suspicious but they are all the same race and class with the same basic protodrake mount.

Because they start at 60 after the intro. Easy way to get into current content without needing to waste money on a boost I’d imagine.

This. In Wrath classic they were all DKs for the same reason.

because when they get banned it’s a lot quicker to just make a instant level 60 to get back to farming.

Only instant level 10 combo with a short intro and no extra perquisite.

  1. boost to current expansion instantly, 2. Like Tauren they have a gathering racial for faster and better gathering. It’s why I legit made my gathering toon a Drac’thyr, cause that perception means better gains from herbing/mining, especially if you max all the stuff for rare reagents. 105% perception for best yields.

and 3. You have an emergency soar and with 10.2.5 dragon riding without needing a mount… so just overall faster herbing and better gains.

I just wonder how it’s worth it when if the account is banned they loose all the stuff and gold.

If it’s traded off then blizz could follow the trail.

The issue is with blizzard only banning in waves, they take so long the bots make a profit that pays for the new account and then some and thus the bot issue is never actually fixed.

Likewise evoker should be restricted like DK was to requiring a maz toon though I guess they can just buy an account and a boost to hit that requirement.

Blizzard takes too long to take action.
