With War mode turned on, I was out questing when a Horde player began attacking me. But he was green to me and I literally could not do any action against him. What’s going on here? After looking around in Freywold Village, I saw several Horde players, with about half being red and half being green. I’m so confused…

I had the opposite problem. I flew up to a war supply cache and noticed some Horde opening it while some of my fellow Alliance were standing around doing nothing.
Of course I naturally attacked but soon realized everyone I was fighting was actually Alliance. I disengaged and after a bit they all turned green to me (except for a real Horde that showed up).
I just assumed it was some weird interaction from flying over a FFA world pvp quest area on the way to the cache.
