Why are some CRITICAL SL currenices not warbound yet others are?

Cyphers of the first ones is actually still critical and likely always will be due to the fact that they are required for a number of quest/campaign unlocks as well as a large amount of cosmetics like pets and mounts. All are quest gated by this currency. So it is good that this currency is warbound.

Infused rubies are also critical to various quests and are needed for a bunch of armour cosmetics and toys and thus will permanently be an important currency. Again, a very good idea they are warbound.

Reservoir anima is critical to basically everything in the SL expac. From quests/campaign to a vast array of cosmetics, achievements etc. So it too will always be necessary moving into the future.

Cosmic flux is warbound yet is completely useless now and will never be needed by anyone. No cosmetics, no achievements, nothing. It’s totally useless. Yet for some reason is warbound.

THE ISSUE:

Stygia: This currency is necessary for a player to unlock Venari’s various utilities across the Maw, such as flight paths, portals, grapple points etc. For whatever reason, Venari has effectively account wide rep implemented (her vendor items unlock for permission to purchase at account level). Yet for some unfathomable reason, the utility that these items unlock are NOT account wide. Which means each character has to purchase them individually regardless as to whether you have max rep with her on one character.

So…please explain the logic behind making some critical currencies in SL warbound, yet this one that is equally critical, not??? Why have you bothered to make some completely useless currencies warbound instead of this permanently utilized currency, not???

I have about 37k stygia across various characters that cannot be touched due to this. So now I have to grind in the Maw for it when I already have 37k???

I’m suspicious of your definition of “critical” when it comes to 4 year old currencies…

Either way, I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of the old stuff simply fell under an “if/then” algorithm when applying the warbound status, as opposed to a deliberate decision. Because they’re the furthest thing from a priority at the moment. So…try not to take it personally.

fyi, you can already transfer anima at the NPC next to the flight master in Oribos. All I think you need is a high-renown character on that account. Don’t remember if it was 40, 60, or 80.

Legion order hall resources too

You know Blizzard and their love of arbitrary restrictions lol

Blizzard told the currencies dependent on character decisions. like Aldor or Scryer, and here Kyrian, Night Fae, Necrolord or Venthyr should be character bound (which is OK IMO).

But character independent currencies, such as Anima or Stygia is relevant for all characters and should be warbound. The unlocks for Maw teleporters and Thorgast tiers should be warbound as well (same as delves).

I sometimes think that the only reason they don’t want to do something could be that they simply don’t want to or don’t have the time, then they’ll craft a reasonable sounding excuse for why it can’t be, and that just becomes the company line on the subject.
