This is what happens when you had over development to poeple who didn’t understand the individual traits of each spec.
The only saw hunters as three range specs and that there was not enough individuality to tell them apart.

Then it just a game to you and not important enough for you to get worked up.
Some players are just very involved in WoW. Loosing Range SV was like having their arm cut off. You try to adjust over time, but ever time you use that stump to grab for something you remember how you lost it.
If poeple told you that at least you still had one good arm you would tell them about all the things you could do if you still had two.
If you are very passionate over something you not just going to give up hope that it may come back some day. Telling them to give up is telling to give up on hope. They don’t not want to face a reality where they can not play range survival anymore.
You should give this advice to these people:
This is a player problem, not a Blizzard one
As much as I disagree with them… this is gaslighting. its a blizzard created problem. They removed the spec which was here since the beginning of the game. Thats the truth and a fact. Circle around it all u want. Thats the one point i agree with them.
By this definition, they’ve removed every spec that was here at the start, and will do so again with the Dragonflight talent rework
I dunno why anyone would be mad. I play BM for raids. MM for raids and M+. Survival for open world farming and sometimes M+. Play what you like, who cares what anyone else wants to play.
I do 18’ 19’s keys. So I don’t necessarily see the best of the best, but I still see decent players and all 3 specs are represented.
I’ve seen Survival outperform MM. But I have also seen MM do like 25+ on overall. Soo… And best BM I see is like 15k.
its the best performing spec thats why they are mad…lol.
That’s why players need to stop reopening old scars. Someone posts about SV then Bepples shows up, which then someone
has to remind them that it gone and not coming back. So now you open up the wound and it starts to bleed all over the post, but you don’t just leave it alone so it keeps bleeding out.
Loosing range SV left a scar and even if it looks hideous and will never go away. Just ignore it and stop picking at it. If it starts to hurt just do something else that way you can just forget that it is even there.
The RSV army has no issue opening their own wounds, as they do it in every Survival thread regardless of whether or not myself or anyone else with common sense is in it
You are giving your advice to the wrong side. People who go out of their way to derail melee survival are not victims.
Words only have power if some gives it to them. If I was to give them same discussion then now I have engaged in thier topic and given them power.
If just one side was to just not to listen and continue with the topic then they would loose. Bepples always shows up and it imitate attention on them and telling them to stop, which has never stopped them.
I giving the chance to show how you really do not care about some other posters opinions, and just ignore them. You’re not accepting or admitting their existence or even if they have any truth to their arguments. You just do not care and have better respect for your time.
Just let Bepples or whoever say whatever they want and then just bury it in the post by staying in the topic.

Tone-deaf post. Many of us did play what we liked: ranged Survival. Then that got removed. Evidently some people did care very much about what we were playing and saw to it that we couldn’t anymore.
P.S. If “Gladius de Deus” is meant to be “Sword of God” it should be “Gladius Dei”. “Gladius de Deo” means “Sword about God” or “Sword down from God”. “Gladius de Deus” doesn’t mean anything because it’s the wrong case ending of “deus”.
If I did that then I would have shown I cared about thier thoughts.
The only tone deaf one here is you, trolling about a spec that went away a long time ago. If you don’t like what’s offered, play a different game. Or learn how to do game design, go get hired by Blizzard, and change it. Or just keep doing what you’re doing, parading around on the forums looking like an a** complaining about something that went away years ago.
PS: Go study your latin harder if you want to look smarter.
Their talent rework is the perfect occassion to open it up and let you play whichever you prefer between melee survival and ranged survival. And at the same time could even open the path of melee BM if that’s what people fancy. And it can be done without adding a 4th spec.
Why not just make everyone happy?
Judging by how Blizzard handles the game I don’t think learning about game design is a prerequisite.
It was a bad design decision to make Survival melee in the first place and it remains a bad decision that negatively affects the class to this day. “Live and let live” died the moment we got into the business of removing and replacing existing specs.
With the upcoming new talent system they could do something unique and build a spec that allows players to build a ranged or melee Survival depending on their choosing. They could even do the same for BM. However it looks like they’re not going to do this and instead build and tweak exceptions to the whole talent mechanic just for Hunters to make melee-only Survival work. It’s worth noting that most of the opposition to this “ranged/melee choice” idea comes from SV players who are concerned that if such a thing existed there would be an influx of players to SV and they would mostly pick the ranged build.
As for “Gladius de Deus”, there’s no study needed. It’s broken Latin. Even Google Translate gets it right. Maybe your guild shouldn’t base names on guesses about other languages they don’t understand.
I’ve had this discussion with SV players before. Basically they know there will be an influx of people to the spec and they will all pick the ranged build. The argument is that if you have a melee option alongside a ranged option people will default to the ranged option because the melee one comes across as a handicap. It’s a rare moment of self awareness from SV players because of course that’s exactly what Blizzard is doing right now except to the entire class. From there you get weird nonsense like Forumgoblin posts about how SV is “built for melee from the ground up” even though it has the same utility toolkit as the other specs with only token differences e.g. a shorter interrupt cooldown.
If I did that then I would have shown I cared about thier thoughts.
Welp you got me there lol well played
And it that easy. You can not agree with what the other side has to say, but as soon as you tell them they now have an audience to tell their story.
And even if some agree with thier options it doesn’t effect your opinion on SV. Cause all of their proof and graphs change the out come in the end.
They seem to believe that we can change the direction of the game. However, only Blizzard can and they have already gave them an answer why SV was changed. They need to stop trying to force players to their beliefs and if they really want to get Range Survival back they need to change the minds of the developers.
