Why Are Shadowlands WQs So... Laborious?

Laborious. That is a word you don’t hear very often. Yes, the quests are laborious. :+1:t2:

1 minute world quests?
Even if that stat was accurate, what would be the point of even having world quests to begin with?
Barely feels like you’re playing a video game at that point.

The rewards seem much better this expansion.
There’s a lot more effort being put into the design. (compared to old expacs)
I feel like they’ve balanced out the loot ratio for time spent to be pretty much the same as before.

I dunno, I feel like these are all positives.
But that’s subjective.

For some reason blizzard decided to make the wqs longer , more spread out and way less rewarding … the system was already bad so they made it worse in an expansion that is supposed to respect your time ?..

Often less so.

I mean, how long do you need to kill one rare or “Make Loh Go” or float to the top of a building to grab a golden disk or solve a memory game?

Maybe I don’t want to spend half an hour doing WQs. Maybe I want to spend 10 minutes then move on to other stuff.

WoW has plenty of other stuff.

Most WQs reward like 70 Anima. How is that a “much better reward”?

I’ll give you that, but that doesn’t make it good. Overcomplication is not a positive thing. From what I see, these WQs are overcomplicated.

They feel just fine to me, some are really quick.

I’m tired of having to go to Wowhead. Also, give us back the whistle. World quests are so far away from flight points, many times I just hearth out and get on the worm hole tunnel guy just to get back.

Except the rewards suck.

Yes - while doing a few of the WQs, I have gotten anxious about how long it is taking me. And since I’m a tank, I feel obligated to help people out that are getting smooshed because they aren’t tanks. And then I still have to work out best routes to get to where I need to go, and get better gear and improve my technique.

So I figure after a couple of months of doing them they’ll be just like BfA WQs, just not yet.

How do the rewards seem better?

That might be fun the first 20 times you do them but after that, no. Still boring now, just made even more boring than before since they take so long.

why not. They are hardly necessary, reps are not mandatory anymore. You get pretty much nothing from exalted. And only 3 WQs for emissary (and not every emissary ask for WQs)

I feel like they are longer thought the rewards are about the same or less. The only ones I find worth doing are the anima or rep ones.

Hey! You got a face now instead of a gold W! Way to go!

Most of the WQ I don’t mind, outside the one in bastion where you have to kill things in a circle you place, but the item is on a minute cooldown. That one is too slow and annoying.

Also we likely will see the turtles at some point, even if it’s a rare one off WQ

No, they really aren’t. A chunk of rep or a couple 35 anima tokens, or a blue I’ll shard. They really aren’t worth my time outside the calling.

since the pre-patch, you kinda late

:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Never said I was fast.

Well it is soul power.

This.

WQs at the end of BFA were so fast because we:

  • had done them so many times we knew what to do for each one without thinking,
  • so overgeared them, everything died really fast,
  • could fly so travel time to get to each one was extremely short.

None of that applies now. In SL, we’re back to square one: WQs we’re not familiar with, mobs that die slowly due to lack of gear, and long difficult and dangerous travel to get to each WQ.
