I’m just wondering why some of the higher end rogues are switching to NF from Kyrian? Is it because of Sepsis or is it mainly for soulbinds/soulshape?
If it’s because of Sepsis, can someone explain what exactly makes it good/how to play around it?

The blink + Pod and cc slow ability. Its still very close compared to kyrian.

So as far as damage/raw kill potential Kyrian is still better because of Echoing Reprimand but the utility from Night Fae is the selling point for fae?
Pretty much, I went necro cause I like 15k shields…bone spike is trash though. Kyrian rogue opening on me with shields is lul.
That’s also not true.
Niyas mastery bonus wasn’t nerfed and gives more.

The fact that it can be healed and bubbled is one of the stupidest things Blizz has ever done, and I am NF.

The fact subs don’t have enough burst to kill it outside of dance is mind boggling how it hasn’t been changed already
For what its worth, I switched to NF recently and I can’t say I’m really enjoying it yet. It could be that I’m just not a skilled enough player to really be able to utilize the utility to its full potential. The blink is nice but idk. I might end up doing more RBGs than arena, and Kyrian felt more useful in those.
Might just need more time with it, but just wanted to add.
Edit: I also prefer all of the aesthetics/mount for Kyrian, but thats personal stuff, not a min-max thing.
I like how there is no mention in this thread about venthyr because flagellation is so terrible.

i think it’s the fact that it’s 1300cr rogues opening on you that makes it lol… not the necro shield, just sayin…
With a 15k shield in a 1v1 if a kyrian rogue opens on me I can atleast trinket counter before he breaks shields
the point of the shield would be to save your trinket. if you have to trinket kyrian wins

Honestly I didn’t like necrolord all that much. The enemi tree and transmog is why I chose it but still just prefer kyrian. Hitting an anima charge CP is kind of fun and the potion is pretty clutch. Didn’t really get to play much with broken ER, it doesn’t do nearly as much damage but every now and then that 7 cp finisher hits pretty hard.
The potion removing dots/bleeds is not nearly as desirable now that we have access to cloaked in shadows, so I see why more people are going NF but they are pretty close imo you can go with potion or go for the extra mobility. I’m not going to switch unless they make some changes to one of the covenants that might entice me to switch, because as of now the other covenants aren’t that much better than kyrian. Plus they all kinda suck for rogue imo lol.
It’s crazy because at the start of the expansion I expected to see a ton of Rogues in the covenant tree, but then I found out all of you went Kyrian. Made me feel bad that I missed out on using ER during our king days, but fox blink and sepsis has helped out a lot with clearing TC.

I am kyrian, but the sepsis allowing you to cast a stealth ability is interesting. For certain abilities like shadowstrike and premed, would this function as a true stealth ability? 25% more damage and 25 yard blink on shadowstrike plus free SnD is nothing to scoff at.
