LOL , many people are 2400 at rbg when they’re like 1600-1700 in 2s , 3s brackets. RBGs are much easier than arenas, but you will need to cooperate with the people in the games. This is a MMORPG game, so this game will be for the people who are willing to play with groups. PVP gearing is better than PVE gearing in shadowlands although majority of wow players are PVE main. MMORPG games will give advantage to the people who are willing to play in groups, ya it is a MMORPG .
I don’t enjoy arena, never have in 15 years, but I LOVE BGs. RBG was EZ until like 2050, then every game from 2100 to 2400 was win 5-10 pts, lose 11 pts. The teams are actually really good and every game is close as hell.

I honestly don’t care how you got your gear. I couldn’t care less if you were 250ilvl and literally 1 shotting.
How you gear up and what you do to earn it, is nobody’s business.

Wow has always rewarded content cleared in a raid better than other forms of content. Why would they change that now?
Also, YOU go do 2s as an Aff lock and see how long you last before you jump on the RBG train…
Yea BGs are the only places that casual players are enjoying . I don’t care what direction this game is going,as long as i enjoy this game i will still play, and if i can’t enjoy the game anymore, i will quit this game without spitting a word.

This is exactly the feeling for alot of people queing not fotm 2s and 3s into the same ret/war/disc every single game.
It’s not PvE nerds. Mostly PvPers are doing RBGs because group PvP is fun and arena sucks right now for a lot of classes.
RBG is fun and less comp dependence.
What we are seeing is a meta shift in pvp with SL where more people are doing rbgs than arenas and a small part of the arena community can’t handle it, it seems.
They cannot yet balance 2s or 3s even. It’s the worst season ever.

I’m usually not big on bgs but I’ve been having fun too. and I love seeing all the fresh blood getting involved in WoW pvp, warms my heart a bit to see the 40 rbg group finder listings on a monday night lol

So many people with sub par reading comprehension, the main gripe is why is RBG rating so much easier to get than arena rating. (I put it in bold for the <80 IQ kids). You can queue to 1500+, getting +150 rating a win, meanwhile you lose 10-20 points max. OP Is 100% right.

It does inadvertently take away from arena though, and that may be where the push back is coming from. If so many of us are motivated by gear, and are seeking the path of least resistance - RBGs is without a doubt the route.

After 1500 the gains are only 15-20 points, same as 3s. You dont get 150 cr a win forever lmao.
hence why I said to 1500+, since I don’t participate in RBG’s, based entirely on context from people I’ve spoken to and my irl friends.
So why can you get to 1500 in RBG so quickly, when you’re getting 10-20 points in arena from 1300 onwards? Do indulge me big boy
This only happens if you lose. You can shoot up cr in 2s/3s super fast if you get your mmr high. What a pointless comment.
Okay? but you aren’t punished MMR wise for losing RBG’s the same way as you are for 2’s/3’s.

Because its averaging 10 peoples mmr instead of only 3, which leads to higher mmr gains in rbg. RBGs also take much longer to play games and set up, if you have the same win rate in either either bracket your gains will be the same.
I watch Drainer and his monk carry some buyer kid from 1800cr to 2500cr in like 3 hours. People act like youre only getting 5cr a win in 3s or something when the reality is that youre just playing more games in arena and your mmr is normalizing so you get less mmr a win. Sure people can get carried in rbgs, but you still have to win games. Theres a lot of people stuck at 1400 and what not yoloing.
Of course, but its undeniable that there’s a disproportionate amount of people with 213-220 gear (from RBG’s) stuck at 1400/1500 in arena - all due to the fact that RBG rating is inflated in comparison to arena. EVEN WITH A 10-20 ILVL ADVANTAGE.
