Itâs traditional for Mythic raids to favor ranged due to mechanics.
However, this is one of the worst tiers in recent history. Hopefully they balance things properly in 9.1. Iâd prefer they get rid of WFT since they probably balanced around that, and ranged donât have a similar analog.
I dunno man, in Castle Nathria, it felt pretty snooze-worthy as melee, the fights seemed easier.

Mostly due to mechanics and range having the ability to dps at any range including melee range . Moreover range abilities will have more appeal than melee like ele shamans elemental blast.

Uh, you inadvertently just made the OPs point. If âthe average player is just really badâ and game mechanics make it worse for melee, then yes, itâs melee unfriendly.
Melee and casters are much closer together than people think in terms of mechanic disruption.
that doesnât make any sense. that fight isnât melee unfriendly. its slowpoke unfriendly.
Usually they balance this by having melee by slightly better on average DPS wise on patchwork style fights, so that they lose the edge when having to move on high movement fights.
This expansion they threw that out the window for whatever reason.

They catch to this is ranged are taskes with the mechanics. Vases on innerva? Ranged does it. Soaks ranged does it ect ect nobody asks melee to do it.
Melee make up for their positioning by often having no cast times and shorter cooldowns often better mobility. There is always a number of positions in a raid for them if for nothing else then interrupts.
I swear the developer who thought up chaining us together and then added in mechanics that melees need to move out and back in together, you deserve coal in your stocking for at least the next couple of years! All in all, I canât say if the raid favors range over melee but I sure do know that I seem to have to move around to avoid stuff more often. Or at least it seems that way but it could be a matter of prospective as I donât play ranged classes.

Melee DPS does have a lot more mechanics to worry about, for no real reason.
edit: I keep my warrior for pvp-only now
