yes, i get it winners take the spoils BUT why do the rest get NOTHING. if someones coming in late xpack like now they are going to have a low gearscore so they are getting next to no honor as well as almost always losing hoping to get a group to carry them (being useless is no fun btw). as the ones with higher gearscores are 2shoting the lower ones are racking in the honor. isn’t this counter productive? most will just leave as they can not upgrade gear.
there should be a mode for fair pvp where real skill matters and not gear<=>skill but we know the toxic players always fight this idea but can’t queing for pvp net you X honor with a x2 for winning and if have a low ilevel maybe give them a lootbox with an upgrade win or lose. what do you think?

Yes the gear gap is actually larger at lvl 60 than it is at lvl 20. lvl 60 is currently more toxic than 10-59. Pretty funny how the tables have turned.
it’s not even just the gear. i have not done shadowlands so have no covenant abilites. it’s still better than bfa where a rng proc was 90% of ones damage. yes i’m very happy at 20 not paying for the crap that is wow pvp.
though my post is about why losing can not get rewards? the geared players are rolling in honor but the people who need it get next to nothing. after a nice match of facerolling you get no real benefit from your efforts so i don’t see why queing pvp should not net something win or lose.
Think it’s a anti botting / afk scripting thing. Removing the incentive for non-participation. If you’re rewarded for losing the bots and afkers (circumventing the deserter debuff) come out in force.
well from level 10-59 players are rewarded experience from losing bgs it makes sense the same complacent people want free stuff for losing at 60.

50% of all teams lose. Even good players have losing streaks. Low-skilled players have more. The issue is, do we want to give zero reward to people who lose so the lower 50% will end up quitting? To maintain a valid player population, losers need to have reason to continue playing. If not, they quit.
And then do we want to repeat, continually giving the bottom 50% less reason to play? There will always be 50% losers.
If you feel that people who fall further behind the more they play should continue to subscribe, why would you think that should be the case?
it would also get people to not quit a losing fight becasue they actually get something when it’s over but “participation trophy” yar yar yar. the fights are not even skill based so this argument is not valid.
This is partly why subscription counts have lowered. I don’t bother playing anymore either. I hate merc mode it makes it harder to find the good dominant faction and just at least get some wins that way. You just end up getting farmed by premades that are your own faction turned traitor for a slightly faster queue.
