In rando’s? Almost never.
Someone facepulls, everyone wipes then of course some fool tries to “skip” again. Rinse and repeat instead of spending 30s killing the mobs.
I’m curious about that. Has anyone ran the numbers? It seems that the end of dungeon XP is only about 50k but these mobs can give me 1200 with rested xp. That is four extra pulls of ten/eleven, no?
Time that we aren’t going to run out because this isn’t a Mythic+ run and can be allowed to be through with it. So unless 3-5 of us got somewhere important to be like work and such (and no, going another thing like PvP, pet battle or etc or just want to get it done in WoW doesn’t count), why rush at all then?
Because it almost never works out? lol, it used to work, when the devs weren’t wise to trash skipping, but now when you try, someone ALWAYS butt pulls. Always. Because the devs learned to place trash in places you can rarely skip. I’d rather fight trash willingly than as a last resort because someone couldn’t toe the hairline fracture that is “the correct path for skipping.”
Unexpected trash pulls cause wipes, and when you were “trying to skip,” it only causes problems within the group because ppl are mad someone “messed up,” when really, the mobs are just very hard not to pull… the new dungeons are designed that way, and even some of the old. Like Magister’s Terrace? lol, good luck skipping mobs in there. U will die, unless your healer is god tier.
It’s really not in SL. Time/XP is much better running the storyline quests and the optional quest.
That used to be true. I instance leveled in BfA just fine. But the math on XP per (not-the-daily-random) instance runs is way off what you get through other methods.
They all run the risk of accidental aggro. Pugs are stupid and will pull across the dungeon.
I always just do the skip and expect someone to pull anyway. Sometimes I’m pleasantly surprised. Mostly I’m not. It’s not like dungeons are remotely difficult anyway.
