Why are people so obsessed with everything in this game being "dark"?

Over identifying and objectifying a person or a cause to look virtuous while not really having any real skin in the game. You can see this stuff all the time when protests turn into rage fests for the sake of using empathy as a vehicle to act crazy. Or when people dogpile.

That’s nothing more than a convenient way to dismiss someone’s genuine care for others and not feel like a total monster yourself for not giving a rip.

That’s honestly more about you than them.
