Why are people against boosting?

I boost my characters to lvl cap all the time by in store. Why are people so against it?

First that thing is overpriced af.

Second, cause Progression being part of Microtransaction.

People in general hate both Microtransactions and Leveling being buyable.

If you think it has anything to do with not having enough money then you are sorely mistaken.

It’s not really anyones business what you spend your money on tbh

Who exactly is against it? And why does it matter? You do you.

It’s a game feature like faction change, transfers, etc. Use it or not, as you see fit. I hadn’t seen any posts lately by anyone cursing it, have you?

They’ll show up

I’ve never heard outrage over this before. I’ve heard snark that boosts don’t know how to play their class, but never that someone was against boosting to the point where someone comes to the forums about it.

People with enough money don’t worry about what other people do with their money.

That’s not true at all.

People think they should be able to dictate what you do with your time and your money. They try and say it hurts the game and integrity and blah blah blah. Its just people trying to control you because they have control issues and need therapy.
Mind your business.

Idk, imo you should spend your money anyway you want. I guess people may get upset because they can’t do it themselves? I don’t see any other reason people would feel a need to get upset how someone else spends their money.

you want to repeat it.

  • First: yep, the boosting is very overpiced for be able to buy you wow token with gold, if you are not good enough and patient enough for the intense farms.
  • Second: MICROTRANSACTION AND P2W, I see that there are people who like to spend money to be the best like Ash Ketchup, but …

Be greedy is not the best, you will never be because you earned it without effort, hell if you dedicate yourself working hard at any job, it is the same as your whole life it would be that someone paid you to be the best and powerful, that is the result of the p2w.

Before video games it was your effort and dedication to enable a character or obtain the best item in the game only by defeating the most powerful enemy, or completing a feat or Achievement where it would make you powerful.

Now p2w teaches you that only the richest are the most powerful is a despicable experience in many games that demand cash left and right.

To save me more words, if you don’t like the dislike of this non-Blizzard system, go play a mobile video game and leave us alone, don’t corrupt the last remaining few games that are only worth the effort and not the money to make us powerful, and that nothing to do with the subscription.

People have been paying for boosts since online games were a thing.
It’s not going away.

Kids used to pay me to do stuff for them in Pokemon back in the 90s.

It will not disappear, but that is not why we are going to have the appreciation that only a minority has that does for gold, for these things there are mutiboxers, and believe that both coincide with the same problem on the servers.

It wasn’t particularly that someone made a forum on it complaining, it’s just been my experience. When I tell people yeah I just boosted this toon they’re like why would you do that? Play the game!

Anything you can imagine there will be people for and against it, and every person that is for or against something will have their own reasons to be for or against it.

People are justifiably against micro-transactions in a game that has a monthly sub and 40 dollars on top of that.

But honestly I don’t really blame you, leveling is mind numbingly boring.

In my opinion if you wanna boost your toons then boost your toons man, you do you.
I’ve boosted a few toons here and there and if people try to give you crap for it, just ignore them and own it like you own all that sweet ca$hola
