I notice the holy pallies are pretty cool, but the ret ones are a bit smelly.
Bubblehearthing is a hell of a drug to one’s ego.
No WAY!
Well, they are, they are the maximum meaning of arrogance because you want to be that main class.
-
Warriors: it’s the same thing, they are more brute force with only muscles, it’s funny like in Cataclysm the beastly power it had in WotLK being the only class to use double 2H weapons being in fury, so that later it will be the most nerfed bastard in the next one expansion only for one stat.
-
Rogues and DH, are the most despicable in being class, and at the same time the most pleasant because of that fighting style they have, whether fast or stealth, it was always the most pleasant.
-
Huntards are another example that here I hate everyone, nature and the community and everything, simply by the fact of their name they are a threat against nature either by indoctrinating or killing their prey.
-
Warlocks and DK are the opposite but in their arrogance of being the bad guys, the guys who would do bad things and are there doing bad things, their lore indicates what sinism they are to cause horror show, they are more from a horror film than a fantasy film.
-
Druids are another example that you’re living a HIPPIE that’s all.
-
Shamans, Monks and priests, regardless of whether they are shadow dps, always demonstrate tranquility and passive behavior, they are philosophical and respectful of nature, they are the kind of people who prefer to play with these classes.
-
And Evoker are the example that if Blizzard gives you
, you eat it, they are the rare example that has nothing to do with nature that Warcraft has never been and you wish there had been a better one like the Tinkers, or Bards, or in another somewhat better case within the world of fantasy as invokers.
IDK… Don’t see it as if it were Tarot cards, not even very generic to a player that only plays in another way, in the case of casual I don’t care the videogame player, or use it for farmer bots or the top of all, but it is a clear example of those who love and those who hate each respective class.
I feel like there is more to this story than you are letting on. Generally players are not just rude to people out of nowhere. Yes you get your entitled few here and there for sure who are generally jerks but depending on what you are doing people dont just get rude.
That being said, I main a Retribution Paladin. I am generally picked last for DPS, kicked if a better DPS comes along, and know my class fairly well but our DPS output isnt that high compared to like a Fire Mage. I have played a Paladin since Classic because I like the versatility of the class. Hey our Tank just left us. Awesome. Let me change my talent tree to Protection equip my spare set of tanking gear and off we go. Oh we need some extra heals on the tank, dont worry healer I got a Lay on Hands and a bubble I can pop on him to allow you a quick breather. (Only do this if it is absolutely necessary or the healer requests it. Can lead to mixed feelings.)
Also, I generally am pleasant to players but if you are being a raging ahole or doing stupid stuff like pulling mobs for no reason, not listening in dungeons or raids, then yes you are 100% going to get chewed out by me. And im nicer about it than most would be.
So why dont you start with telling us what you were doing that led to these Paladins being “mean to you,” because I am fairly certain that you are omitting a lot of the information here.
yeahhh we’re pretty messed up people
yeahhh we’re pretty messed up people
The only toxic players I have encountered were from Area51 and Tichondrius (Not sure of spelling.) And even they were not the norm, but can be irritating at times
i don’t main a paladin but i’ve never had a problem with any player in this game really besides some rudeness against pvp opponents. i hope your experiences in the future are better Hocus. I am sorry that the light hasn’t shown itself to be good to you, as a holy priest main. i am a bad person myself and understand that i make the light look bad and God and Jesus look bad as a person raised Christian and everyone mad when I am bad. i know the light isn’t christian but it has some similarities. just the idea of being kind and good and nice and doing what’s right. why does my chest hurt when i say these things? perhaps i am losing faith in what i was. i wonder if it was “true light” or if i was deceitful. hard to know things. i don’t want to be a real life warlock though i won’t be a bigot against them in warcraft. sorry that i am rambling and being a weird creep. anyway i hope everyone has a nice night and day and life.
chrisnp/gotnov
sorry if i caused anyone pain it was never my intent

Well that was definitely up there on top 10 most bizarre replies of the day. May the Light Guide your way, you poor poor lost soul.
Ah fk it, that actually had me dying of laughter halfway through.
I mean I’m quite friendly to everyone and I never rage out in bad groups, usually the last to leave. But I also swap mains once or twice an expansion. Never stick to one class so maybe why I don’t have that pally rage.
I just play like a himbo warrior with a glow stick. Lol
That’s false as I’m not only a tauren which is furry by definition but am a furry irl so that doesn’t stand and my buddy who use to play, quit now has also become a furry lol.
as an hpal main i get sick of the dps just not doing things so sorry
if u can feel my angry unholy vibes thru my heals lol
also pallys are kings, the gods. we rule.
Short answer is everyone that was already like that rerolled to paladin after it got reworked. Those of us that’ve been playing it for years aren’t like this, atleast for the most part.
Because they are the most pampered class in the game and the people who play them are the most self entitled.
Tauren pallies have always been such Bros though!
Were just walkin on Sunshine
I have noticed Paladins probably attract more “egos” than the majority of classes. Probably a bit of main character syndrome.
I get it, it seems like all Vulpera are just whiney little … nm.
This is why whenever you see a paladin you walk up between their leg and then jump as high as you can. A nice falsseto will help them screech their zealous ways.
Unfortunately despite having the most robust group utility toolkit in the game many paladin players dont use it at all. The ampunt of other rets that dont even use their double freedom on people is insane to me. Should be mandatory utility usage or you get downgraded to warrior.
Some are, some aren’t.
Regrettably, some lean too hard into the DEUS VULT and use their “status” as an excuse to be complete and utter toolbelts. These are to be avoided if possible.
But like Xenope says, a fair number of us long-timers don’t go there. I try to be polite and helpful. I don’t always succeed, but I almost always try. My take on the Paladin ideal is to emulate the OG paladins, standing between our people and those who would do them harm.
