Queues have been 10 minutes. Last phase WSG queues were less than 1 minute. Are Horde suddenly outnumbering alliance? Or is it just Horde solo Q being this long?
Cus it’s 5am go to bed.
bloodmoon is an infinitely more efficient way to farm AB rep
No… more horde players pvping not enough alliance players pvping
So your queue times are longer
Just wait until there 1 hour queue for AV
Alliance queues have been quite quick, so I guess maybe there are just a lot more Horde queuing?
Bingo. Maybe the dumbest decision ever is allowing people to get AB PVP rep exalted without ever setting foot in an AB.
Because there are more horde queuing than alliance. Did you mean to ask why are there more horde than alliance in BGs?
The reason for that is Orcs. Hardiness is beyond broken in PVP so horde draws a lot more players that are PvP oriented than alliance. This leads to a 90% win rate in AB which results in even fewer alliance queing which makes it worse.
Also with ranks capped at 5 there’s zero reason to PvP other than fun, and there’s more horde that PvP for fun than alliance.
On top of that (and not im advocating for this reversal necessarily) the premade cap ensures that most alliance, esp healers, will not be queueing for bgs as much and by extension less of the alli playerbase has interest in going. Shamans are also not fun to pvp against so I think anyone who is only casual/semi-serious about pvp won’t step foot in bgs often
alliance are tired of facing OP shamans lol not joking
cause horde have an advantage in AB so more horde queue than alliance
I love pvping but sometimes I can only take so much getting stomped by shamans too haha. Good gameplay still happens but it does feel skewed right now
Yes.
Horde were outnumbered 47/53 last phase. That has flipped 180, now Horde outnumber to roughly the same degree.
Turns out when you show bias towards Horde for two phases people stop playing their preferred faction.
AB is trash this phase with no premades so this decision is amazing.
You are about to get attacked for this
Absolutely.
Here’s the truth - Alliance PUGs are awful. But I am better than you (horde) players, I am supposed to beat you. I’m just not going to play AB if you whine to Blizzard that I should be saddled with bad players so that you can stand a chance against my team. It’s beyond demented you see solo Horde players brag about a 90% solo win-rate as if that’s a normal thing they’re entitled to, when they have a 15% win-rate last phase.
Good Alliance players are just not going to play AB. Why play AB when I can beat you up in STV and get way more rep? Again, I am supposed to win, I won in phase 1, I got exalted on three different characters, no wonder you see a drop in queue time. People like me stopped playing when you tried to handicap us.
Remove the premade limit and you’ll probably see Horde queue times improve.
Horde is easy mode for PvP because of their racial abilities. It would be expected that the people who plan on doing a lot of PvP in BGs will go Horde. Combine that with Shamans being flavor of the month and you have a lot more Horde entering queue for BGs than Alliance. With Shaman being flavor of the month because of how grossly bursty they, it’s expected that fewer Alliance will want to queue for BGs.
Fun per hour > rep per hour.
AB is fun, STV is not fun. The logical choice is to choose the more fun way to rep grind, not the more “efficient” way. Unless you’re a super sweaty PvEer masochist that hates pvp but you pvp anyway because your ego can’t handle not having perfect BiS at all times.
Anyone who thinks racials carry in most pvp encounters is bad at pvp. You can outplay 99.9% of players with suboptimal racials, it only matters if your pushing rank 1 arena. Most players suck and don’t even use their in a smart way.
As an Alliance player, I always lose AB, so I stopped queueing and I’m doing BM for rep instead. I assume many are doing the same. It’s not fun.
It would be fun if alliance didn’t give up minute 1 of the BG
“We lost BS fight, just let them 5 cap.”
Lol, that’s why I rolled Horde since day one.
I knew, with the faction locks, Alliance was going to be full of noobs or just plain bad players.
I was correct.
Also, playing the underdog faction is fun and always appealed to me.
How do you know you’re “supposed to win” lol? Many cutting edge PvPers play Horde too.
You don’t automatically get to win because of your choices, things can always change.
Maybe Alliance was locked because many assumed the same as you, free easy wins. Wrong.
The player on the other computer can sometimes be better than yourself, that’s not something you can predict.
Relying on premades isn’t a good indicator of individual skill, either. You’re mostly winning due to comp and teamwork whereas the other team likely has none.
