When undead paladins become a thing I will roll one. I’ve always wanted a zombie crusader-- former Scarlet who now is on “that” side or something. Cliche, but IDGAF.
Three Old gods or one very very evil Vulpera…
Because the character models are horrible, and you can’t really wear any transmogs with them. People care a lot about looking good, and Forsaken look very bad.
Also, their racials are actually pretty terrible as well. They’re incredibly situational, and that’s when they even worth using, and when they do apply to a situation your results are still going to be mediocre because our racials only ever got attention when they were getting nerfed and now they’re functionally worthless.
No one cares about breathing under water in a game where that’s not an issue.
No one cares about a very slow 35% heal when it takes 15 seconds, requires a humanoid or undead body and basically stunlocks you for 15 seconds and breaks on damage. It’s terrible.
Our shadow resistance doesn’t matter, because the game is designed around the concept of a class meaning to take damage or not… this means that if you aren’t a tank then it’s worthless, and even then it’s only viable vs shadow damage… some of the time.
Touch of the Grave gives a very small amount of damage and healing… again, useless.
On paper these sound interesting and fun, but in practice they aren’t, they need to be reworked.
Well, I’d like to be undead… but before we could do either faction together, I was outvoted and my friends and I went Alliance and either way there is no such thing as an undead druid.
So booo…
“Blizz fixed this one. We can now choose the ‘fresh skin’ look, and the gear no longer breaks. Transmogs look much better on us now.”
Aesthetics are a big thing. We’re an acquired taste. I played a lot of Scourge and Orcs in WCIII, so naturally I play the Undead. Also, I like that WoW has an undead option. I don’t know of any other MMORPG that has something like this as a playable race.
Things I think would get more people to play the Forsaken; straight backs, skull and bones option to be more skeletal like, lich like customizations, and adding more races to the Undead. Blood Elves and both troll races have undead models.
Why are the forsaken not so popular of a race?
Well because players are not Earthworm Jim.
The Forsaken are not very common because most people are lacking in good taste.
You see, the Forsaken are starving to death because most people on Azeroth taste horrible.
Because they smell really bad can smell a Forsaken from the other side of Orgrimmar its that bad.
There ya go, they can’t starve to death, so i fixed it.
Allow undeads to be paladins, druids and DH and you will see way more of them
That part I don’t really have an issue with and I think they did a good job with it. But the male Forsaken model in general is curved like a crooked S. And just about every modern armor set clips and looks pretty bad.
The price you pay for playing a monster.
Hunched chars look bad in transmog.
Unless they are Trolls, but still.
“That is why there is a thread up, requesting the Straight Spine Option for us.”
/smile
Their popularity is different.
There any Vanilla Alliance player who played on a PVP server who isn’t haunted by the sight of a fosaken rogue?
I never claimed to not be evil, but I also got three old god idols of the four in my build so… next expansion going to be fun…long as blizz doesn’t mug me for my idols of course lol. I make nightmare creatures appear to eat people, void tendrils pop up and shoot lasers, I even make my dots all the more sinister and cause AoE damage… and I didn’t follow anyone’s build for it. I may as well be an adorable little monster XD
They are hunchbacked and desperately need a chiropractor.
I think that if Blizzard allowed Forsaken players to have the option of having Human Models with grey skin like Nathanos, you’d see the number of people playing Forsaken double.
For me, it’s about animations while moving. And to this day, I simply can’t play anything but female Blood Elves, female Draenei, and female Night Elves. Nothing else feels smooth to me to constantly be looking at.
