Because, in America, if we stop making dollars at any second, for any reason, we are ground up into a fine paste to feed our own elementary school children.
Social safety nets in Europe are more highly developed than in the US, meaning players have more time to practice without having to work odd hours or more than 40 hours a week. European culture is also geared more towards the group and less towards the individual, so when the raid leader says everyone has to contribute, everyone contributes (on their alts if they have to), even if they’re sitting on the bench.

What do birthrates have to do with skill? I’ve seen many people with kids be awesome at wow, and I’ve seen plenty of single people with no kids be awesome at it. There is no correlation.
America is in steep decline, and this discrepancy in WoW performance is only one indicator of it.
