Why are cc talents?

most of the CC used this week for incorp (dumb affix needs to be deleted) requires people to talent out of better builds to take crap just to take one talent for one week. why arent these abilitys baseline? it makes no sense.

As a Warrior we take Storm Bolt and Shockwave for dungeons anyways, and Blizzard noted that Shockwave will be easier to take in The War Within for the Colossus Hero Specialization. Menace is the only pain as I don’t see any talents to spare on the class side of the talent pain to pick up Intimidating Shout and then Menace. Luckily there are a lot of other classes to deal with Incorporeal like Warlocks and Demon Hunters.

Better take a spellcaster. :slight_smile:

Same reason PoM isn’t baseline for Holy despite not being a choice. Adds more nodes.

Because everything has to go into the “mEaninGFUl CHoICeS” blender, count your blessing WASD keys aren’t thrown into that blender too.

Yea I mean the talents are a bit all around and could be refined much further but atleast I think every class atm is not “too bad” so probably won’t see much rework for now.

It’s like how dks have to pick up their stun but paladins get theirs for free.

Taking that talent helps you time, so everyone wins.

CC like rep, stuns like asphyciate for dks (hoj) should be baseline. stormbolt should be base. intimidating shout was base for a long time. other classes shouldnt be forced to take crap to get to CC.

Yea sadly other talents do too. So what you gonna do? Trash your whole talent tree just to pick up a 45 sec cd single target stun? Hell nah.

nope i refuse. my dk takes 2 dnds > situational stun 99.99999% of the time

It is kind of tedious having to check my dps players builds in 18-20s to make sure they aren’t gonna feed the key by opting out of their cc to do 1% more damage except that it’s actually a dps loss because we all die.

Probably should check more if they have their interrupt binded at that level.
People expect to do none because dh tank and prot pal can carry interrupts.

Yeah, true. If you have to cast control undead with 15 mobs on you then it’s just so over.

btw i refuse to take control undead also it was baseline in the past. and getting to it means i lose out on better talents just to get to it

Imagine also playing unholy and having to drop your ghoul if you play control undead, well designed. I also have death coil afflicted before but you know… xd

Whereas monk/dh can just insta incap each one. :dracthyr_crylaugh: I hate this affix.

Laughs in monk, our capstones for class tree are so bad we dont take them… and yet paladins get all 3? Divine toll? Talent trees need some work still. shame the devs wont work on retail
