Why are Brutosaurs always

Most times I see a Brutosaur they are parked in front of a mailbox or an auction house.

I never see someone summon one in the wild.
Is this because people with Brutosaurs don’t need to go out in the wild anymore  ?

I almost never see them moving.
Is this because they can’t move?

Everytime I see one in town, the person is afk or unavailable to speak.
Do you think people go afk and leave their brutosaurs up for display to show off?

Or maybe they just want to give people another location for the auction house?

Serious, yet kinda jokingly jealousy filled question.

Come to think of it, I have seen a couple outside of auction houses and my reaction is “But why?”

The people who make enough gold to buy one are the type of people who play the AH all day.

It’s a status symbol. It’s basically a WoW Rolex.

That’s why, the mail box.

they just repost hundreds of items constantly without having to move

I’ve done this, it’s usually just to buy something real quick like a flask or pot for a M+ or raid. I don’t really chill out doing mass auctioning in the wild because I’m going to need a mailbox and Katy is only up for 10 minutes.

This is a problem with the NPC’s themselves. Have you ever tried to vendor something on your Mammoth / Yak mount while running? It will stutter and lag like crazy until it finally goes through. Best to just sit still, do what you need to do on it and then switch to your preferred mount.

There’s two aspects to this. Yes, some people do it as a bit of a flex. Others do this because they’re being nice and letting people use the NPCs.

What’s the point of showing off how great you are, if nobody is there to see it?

What am I gonna do on an AH with no mailbox? If I do Brutosaur up in the wild, it’s to quickly empty my bags and I’m not on it longer than a minute

I don’t play the AH at all

Why would I wanna dismount to go into a building, come out, and then mount up again? Skip the middle steps and not dismount at all

I get that. What I’m saying is you have an auctioneer right there on your mount, so why are you sitting at the auction house?

You could be anywhere in the game, but choose there lol

Gotta go to a city to use trade chat. Gotta go to SW to get to Uldum. Gotta go to SW to get to the vale. SW is a portal hub

When I farm dungeons and my bags fill up I pop out the dungeon and post my stuff on the AH and pop back inside the dungeon, assuming I can’t mount inside. I try my absolute best to avoid people seeing me on my Bruto because I don’t want to draw attention to myself and it’s quite an easy mount to spot. Usually when I use it out in the wild I’ll fly up somewhere really high and use it. It’d be dank if I could swap vendor mount vendors and put the auctioneer on my mammoth since no one cares about the mammoth.

There was a time when I was like “…wait can I run and still use the AH?” starts running with AH open “oh I can’t really search and pay attention to where I’m running” stops running. Also I don’t want to draw attention to myself

Maybe, might just not want to talk to you.

I am not impressed with the mount, tbh.

Agreed, this is the primary reason. It would be way nicer if they would use one of the more out of the way mailboxes though, rather than the one closest to the AH/inn us regular folks depend on.

If I use my longboi right next to another AH, it’s out of pure laziness, so I don’t have to move. I will camp next to a mailbox with it because that just makes sense.

I see it as more of a public service than a show off, to hop on it and afk.
More AH access for everyone! :sauropod:

I saw one in AV once. It was awesome. Was tough trying to shop while running at full gallop though.
