Why are Alliance the preferred faction?

Alliance: Has Sword and Mace weapon bonuses.
BFD: Has a bunch of swords and maces.
Horde: Has Axe bonuses.
BFD: Has no axes.

WhY iS eVeRyOnE rOlLiNg AlLy?

I sure hope all the Horde players keep this type of stuff in mind if they play retail why Alliance players have complained so much over the years.

Horde have Shaman, which I’m given to understand are rocking it just as hard. Both factions have Druids and therefore access to WF.

From that perspective, at least, it shouldn’t matter.

Interesting. There does appear to be zero axes on the loot tables for BFD. Was this a Blizzard oversight?

Also, geniune question here… what impact (in terms of relative percentages) do people feel the +weapon bonuses each race provides has on overall damage?

Real answer: Horde doesn’t have Blood Elves.
I mean there’s a reason they were given a “pretty”/nonmonstrous race in BC. The vanilla horde races are hideous without compare.

At level 25? You have a 3% chance to have your white weapon swings be glancing blows (doing 75% damage). So at this level, that’s a total 2% less damage.

At 60 it is going to be much worse though.

Edit: I’m wrong, i gotta grab the correct math…

This is strictly wrong. Faction balance has flip flopped every xpac since cata so that blizzard could milk faction xfer money by constantly counterbalancing racials every xpac.

They aren’t the dominant faction.

The top 3 speed clears of BFD and the top parses are horde.

Why must you Alliance players cope so hard?

YOu are not the best faction. They are actually extremely well balanced but horde has a slight advantage.

At 60 we should know the relative impact now, don’t we? I mean, based on existing itemization at least. How much damage does a gnome warrior do relative to a human warrior?

There is no such thing as ‘the dominant faction.’ There is only the winning team and the loosing team.

I mean the ally favoritism extends far beyond that. I gave one of several advantages ally have.

There is no ally favoritism man. Horde have the top logs and top speed clears.

Stop the coping.

Also, horde have the best PVP racials in the game.

You are making horde look bad by crying like this .

We’re not saying whether or not ally or horde is actually better. We’re discussing why the population went ally heavy.

In classic:

Warriors were the dominant class. Humans racial gave them expertise with swords. No need for edgemasters.

As a horde druid I missed out on pally blessings. I had shaman in group, but they could only drop WF. I had no benefit from it, and would never get GoA.

Alliance were just better for most PvE content outside of some things like Viscidus.

Just go ally and it will be a guarantee win in PVP XD. This was a terribly unbalanced bracket released. I don’t know how people who play hunters or paladins find it even remotely fun with such handicapped strengths compared to other classes.

ret paladins massively buffed and they get windfury. dads browbeaten into donning the teal dress in vanilla out in full force. TRULY expressing themselves
