Why are all these MM hunters crying about losing their pets?

Don’t know which of you two is right, but a potent heal every 1 minute with a second available is still more than 1 heal every 2 minutes.

My view exactly

It’s been pretty solid for affliction in my experience, though granted my experience with the lock is entirely solo content this expansion.

Generally, I find it never worth using. It just does so little damage it fails to heal a sufficient amount. In fact, one of the few buffs afforded to warlock in the ptr is to help address that.

The same thing Mages, Ele Shaman, Shadow Priests and Boomkin do I’d guess.

Chalk it up to a skill issue I suppose, because I just cannot handle them on a petless MM like I can on a mage.

Mages have more numerous and more potent defensives while the other three have access to self-healing on demand in addition to their defensives.

MM Hunter has inferior to both, as the pet is our greatest defensive tool.

Not to mention Ele Shaman have Rocky (Earth Elemental) and Boomkin have Trees to give them some breathing room if they need it.

Those classes are stronger defensively and are meant to be played that way. And those classes aren’t getting the rug pulled out from under them after two decades.

You can MD and feign all you want but you still put hate as soon as it wears.

And MM has been reworked to perform without a Pet so if the spec is missing something in their kit hopefully you’re giving feedback beyond “I want my Pet back”

Feign doesn’t ‘wear’ - it resets your threat.

Between MD + Feign the first time, your pet should hold aggro for most fights that you don’t drop outright. If you overaggro after that, the second feign will put your pet so far ahead you won’t be able to catch up. And you should be using MD on CD anyways, as it gives your pet an additional 30% more DR.

Yes, this. Also the pet has it’s own feign, so you can juggle that as needed.

It has not, nothing related to survival and solo has being changed except gaining bears endurance without a pet, and that is shaite compared to a pocket tank

The only thing that’s been “reworked” is how MM plays in dungeons and raids, where a pet was never needed. Summoning one to activate Bloodlust/Primal Rage is actually a pain point for the spec in group play.

The only “performance” being considered is raw damage. Soloing Delves will be virtually impossible without a pocket tank. Brann might be getting a tank spec but Mend Pet and Exhilaration don’t work on him. Kiting will not be possible in Delves that have the darkness or poison gas mechanics, because the candle/air totem will either be expended by rapid movement, or useless when the hunter has to kits mobs beyond its very limited radius.

It’s a very half-baked rework that is not suitable for a mid-expansion patch. These are expansion-level changes that require months of alpha/beta testing to successfully iterate on.

Which absolutely reiterates taking these off the pet and moving them onto the hunter, in which case it would make keeping the pet entirely optional, no? If you can lust regardless of whether or not you have the pet out, the pet becomes essentially a choice in play style without a drastic change in results. It allows for player agency.

But these ghouls are too pet to understand it, they think if the pet option is available MM will be the worse spec or something, cause blizzard cant balance the game with MM having a pet as option

Yup.

They killed Survival and Outlaw.

MM is next.

And with that, the pet is back (recent blue post):
