Why are account sharing / botting players not being removed from the game?

I know of multiple players blatantly account sharing / AFK Botting for the honor farm / rank 14 rush

Why are these players not being removed / perma banned from the game?

Bans happen in waves. They’ll get their reckoning in time assuming that they are truly doing this and not just you upset with someone who is a more dedicated or alternative play style player than you.

The only times bans happen quickly is when either:
a) the player is outright flagged for a known exploit by warden
b) the player commits a flagrant and severe exploit that poses a meaningful stability or security risk to other players

If it’s not a or b, then they’ll be flagged, investigated, and banned accordingly at the next ban wave.

why ask a question that there are 10 threads with identical topics already asking?

do u have proof? or u only heard it through discord? just because someone says something doesn’t mean it’s true…

Yeah once every couple months some bots get banned. That’s real helpful.

Account sharing with family isn’t against terms just FYI.

Not Discord, out of the top 10 ranked on heartseeker, there at 4 players AFK botting in every game

Then the top ranked 2 players both know me…they just dont seem to recall who i am at 4-5AM and responde with a ?

Maybe you are just not that important

Rank botters don’t bother me, but I don’t pvp. But I understand where you are coming from.

I’m more annoyed at botters who farm up all the black lotus. That’s really disrupting my joy.

Do you truly believe so many people are sharing an account with a house hold family member?

No idea man. I just know there are millions of players. When I join AV number 237 I know there are tons of players.

I do know some people used to take turns back in college getting one guy to rank 14. Didn’t seem illegal as they were present.

Actually, it is UNLESS it is a minor child. Sharing with your spouse or children over the age of 13 is against ToS

Not that they’d know if you were in the same house though.

Are you reporting your friends?

Their rules don’t say it’s illegal to share with family, they do allow it. But all legal liability falls on account owner, that’s all.

You can legally share with wife, unemployed uncle, son, etc… Blizzard not responsible because by terms you agreed on their behalf.

If they’re playing from the same computer, it might be hard to prove.

“You may not share the Account with anyone, except that if you are a parent or guardian, you may permit one (1) minor child to use the Account when not in use by you. You are liable for all uses of the Account that has been enabled by you…”

Right from the tos, you can’t even technically share with ALL your demon spawn, just one.
