Why anniversary raid is no flex

Blizzard, be so for real right now,
why would the most casual memory bonding event won’t be flex raid.
How could this happens.

Also tuning is nuts, but that is separate topic.

Please fix asap.

IIRC, it’s because BRD was a 10-man back in the day.

Then in later Vanilla, it was relegated to a 5-man, same with Scholo and Strath.

It’s a weird choice for sure, but they’re sticking to it.

Maybe it’s easier to work on scaling for the raid when it’s a static number of players.

No but, pleas consider, this is a fun people social bonding experience,
why on earth would you split frens, is just evil.

Could we please no sweat at least for anniversary.

Hey, for years I was Horde and couldn’t play with Alliance friends.

“Hey, you play WoW too? What faction? Oh, Alliance? Ohh…”

And that was that, lmao.

We’ve come a long way from that.

Bruh, that is too real,
that is painful.

Seems like people are not fans of it too. No groups for hero around and normal is way to over tuned. I know we need to work at it… but this is beyond what it should be

The tuning is nuts.

The 3rd boss in heroic is a very hard brick wall that most pugs will not get past.

The gear in the raid is also just not very good unless you’re a spec that really loves vers.

Technically it is. Just it is flex up to 15 people with a min of 10.

Actually you could bring a whole raid in there in OG wow.

Yeah patch 1.1 (vanilla launch) to patch 1.3 you could. Patch 1.3 made all dungeons (excluding Dire Maul, which just came out) capped to 10 players. Blackrock Spire to 15 though as the Upper wing was considered a 10 man raid by Blizzard. Patch 1.10 would later make it so that Scholomance, Blackrock Depths and Stratholme were capped to 5 players. With Blackrock Spire capped to 10 players.

It is just sad.

No!

BRD is the new progression raid, even if the loot is no better!

Yeah, pretty much no guild has only 15 people, so this will help ensure all those guilds decide on their 15 core and kick the rest, this is the WoW way.

End Sarcasm

OP, we pretty much all agree with you frankly, except for Blizzard.

The Fun casual guild that helps prepare you and gear your alts in time for next season is actually more brutally difficult than the current progression raid. Apparently, the idea of raiding for fun each week, earning keys and suck, is the WRONG way to celebrate in the eyes of Blizzard

This raid is nutty overtuned. Also hate that we had to split our raid team.

Really really hate it. I dont wanna put people in different groups and cause feelbad. We’re all in the same guild cuz we all like playing together.

It was kinda hilarious being forced into splitting our raid group into 2 like we were some RWF.

For a celebration event.

lmao.

Hard disagree

Hey now, slinging insults at each other while wiping on a 20ish year old raid is peak bonding!

Not to mention if you are a ret paladin, you like Mastery, and almost none of the drops for the raid have any of that. I think I saw like one item on the vendor that had mastery and it was a subpar trinket.

This is definitely a do once then never go back raid. I’d bet it was intentionally over-tuned so it didn’t get curb-stomped by geared folks the first day. There is really no gear progression here since the gear level is the same as currently existing raid gear. I wonder if Blizzard will use the “our internal testing teams are just too good at the game” excuse this time.

This is quite honestly such an L for blizzard. :frowning:

They should have made it a random boss raid split between the best bosses of the last 20 years.
