I have a new low level character and out on Eversong Woods…Yet at skinning level 1 I am still at skinning lvl 1 after skinning at least 20 different things. I mean first you make it to where we can’t get skill ups on fishing in town, but do I have to skin things in town to skill ups?

The blood elf areas are currently bugged to give Outland skinning skill points. If you run to Org and then Shattrath, you can train and level that in the meantime.

I have My skinning at 280 of 300 for Azeroth Skinning but I can’t find anyplace outside to get the last 20 points I need to max it out, any ideas?

Ungoro, Sylithus would be my guess.
went to Un Goro and Sylithus but everything is grey. I went to BRD and acctually made 285 before everything went grey

Go around the portal to Outland then. On the Azeroth side of course.
Thanks for the idea, I went there but skinning is grey there as well, I tried MC but same problem.

Signal boosting this post, because this seems to be a well known issue among players, with reports dating back nearly a year, but no response from Blizzard. Is this intended, with a leveling mechanic unique from every other profession in the game? Or just a straight up ignored bug?

Hi there… I just came to say I was having the same problem. I found that the Rabid Shardtooth in Frostwhisper Gorge in Winterspring solved this issue. I just went from 285 to 300 in less than 30 minutes skinning there. Have fun !!
