You can’t PvP as a tank in this game unless you have at least one pocket healer.
If you have more than one, you can mess with the enemy pretty good. But if you don’t have any, well, that’s like trying to carry a brick in a wet paper bag.

Fr. Sit at stables my guy, lmaooo.

Ever since Prot warriors performed decent in WoD, Legion and other previous expansions. They got placed on the hate list. They really got crapped on for pvp compared to other tanks…heck they’re not even worth to call a tank in pvp. Just a beta form of Arms and Fury warrior combined if you ask me. Prot warriors is only good for is Dragon Charge and to annoy players begging them to take your existence out of the game.

Especially warrior tank. It ain’t the same anymore.

anti-pally thread?
anti-pally thread.

they hurt, OP, just run away during ssj mode.

What blows my mind is the ineptitude in whatever meeting they had when they decided the direction they will take with prot warrior.

We have here the highest armor plate class in the game, he has a giant hulking shield.
Lets have him be the fastest and the squishiest class in the game. That makes a lot of sense. Seriously who comes up with such a brain dead design direction.

Prot warrior should be SLOW, prot warrior should also be able to BLOCK almost everything to make up for the lack of speed due to the hulking armor. Prot warrior should basically be a terminator king at zone control but garbage at mobility.

Block everything? Idk bout that chief.

Yeah like I said in my post WoD, Legion and previous expansions. Prot warriors were something, but BFA and Shadowlands pvp? Forget it like you can tell the developers hates them with a passion when it comes to pvp.

It’s not just wings. Any class with telegraphed offensive CD’s should be taken with extreme caution. Leaping/intervening away is your best answer.

Yeah they called it the Ronson.

The Ronson was a type of cigarette lighter back in the day. It was an insult for how easily it caught on fire.

apparently 30% versatility is where we gotta be to handle some damage, but who knows…that could be a lie too.

Damn…

I would agree with you if leaping away wasnt the ONLY answer prot warrior had to ANY situation.

Could always try to bait them to trinket with a stun, then pop intimidating shout and leap away.

Wasn’t always liked that before. Usually when you tank offensive cool down damages you get hate messages from your opponents especially if you killed them as a warrior tank or tank class in general. They always cried “play a real class blah blah blah rage”

Yeah, but that defeats the purpose of being a tank. Tank isn’t meant to run away especially in 1 v 1 situations or 2 v 1. Even a healer can tank better in those odds. The developers here really messed up the formula so bad when it comes to this matter.

Okay but Vers = damage mitigation, if you are getting hit like that, you probably need more vers or a damage mitigation build.

Situational tips : you probably need to learn interrupts and when to pop defensives.

I think he’s got like 12 vers

You’re right. They changed it in Legion when tanks were unkillable and did massive damage. Before they did no damage… or anything really.

Even tanks should know when to bail. The purpose of a tank isn’t supposed to be invincible. It’s to tangle people up.

Really unfortunate how hated sword and board is in this game, its like theres a culture of hate for prot warriors… baffling, its just a class… it needs serious redesigning.

get rid of charge and heroic leap, leave dragon charge but make it half distance.

Make bolster baseline and shield block can block ranged and magic attacks at 50%.

Increase damage another 10% flat reduce run speed %10

prot warrior will still be kept in check cause you are THE master of the melee, no one should want to get close to you, but can be outplayed quite easily.
