If this is true, why was I, when on my warrior, infected when I went to EPL for Nathanos after taking a portal to UC and catching a flight to one of EPLs towers?
I could not attack the zombies yet they were able to infect me and I was not flagged until after I died and became a zombie or after I died as one. It looks to me like you and your ilk complained so much about the wrong thing that Blizzard fixed it by making the zombies PvP only then broke it because they want people to experience the event.
Next time we get something like this, make it clear that you will accept PvE zombies (or whatever it is then) invading, possibly infecting but then players that are turned are either under a mind control effect OR can only attack NPCs.
I don’t mind the event. I don’t even mind that it’s pvp. It’s not my thing, but I can avoid it and pvpers deserve some love on things.
The only thing I don’t get is the mentality that people who want to do the event want those who don’t want to do the event to be forced … to do the event. For…reasons?
Just seems like a jerk attitude to have.
And the response I usually hear is “Just go somewhere else”. Isn’t that the same thing. Whether they can just opt out or just not be in the area. The end product is the same, right? So what’s the point?
Blizz’s coders cannot figure out a way to have the event act without it auto flagging us into PvP just the same as how they cannot code gathering nodes into Icecrown event lol
At this point i think it is just ineptitude or lack of caring.
why should i cover the less than 4 dollars that is a week of sub time for something beyond my control? i know i have problems with the zombie event, so i chose to skip it. any of us could do it then. i went through three pandemics on Warcraft and the Original Zombie Event. you don’t see me asking for 5 separate weeks of free playtime.
Oh so Square Enix respects me as a player and the play style I’ve chosen. Good to know thank you.
How would you feel if we forced all PVP Players to do nothing but PVE for seven days straight and any time they tried to go and do PVP we interrupted it with Forced PVE and I mean PVP’ers would NOT be allowed to PVP for the whole seven days.
How do you think that would go over. I can tell you they’d be on here yelling louder than all of us are. Why? can I say this. I SAW it first hand in Warlords of Draenor when the expansion that was suppose to save and resurrect PVP - pretty much killed it. The RIP PVP forum posts I read still make me chuckle.

Are you aware PvP already works this way? You will not be competitive in PvP if you do not PvE. They are not given the option to just tunnel PvP as the best items, even for PvP, is sourced from PvE.
