Boosting is now where the money laundering takes place, this is the most un-vanilla thing that could be allowed and it harms groups from level 8+, on top of the harassment you receive from boosters who will whisper you and ask you if you want to buy a boost.
If anything should be banned, boosting is the THING.

I made a new char on a server and most of the lower levels were sitting outside RFC being boosted, looked like a bot rotation as packed as it was.

They might actually ban it when they add the paid boost when these servers progress to TBC, since these dungeon boosts might detract from players buying the boost from Blizz.
I guess the question is will it cost players more to buy a boost from Blizz, or buy illegal gold and buy them from dungeon boosters.
Anyway, yeah it should be banned. The GDKP comparison is completely meaningless.

Actually it isn’t if you look at what they cited as the reasoning for banning GDKP, boost in vanilla erode the social structure and leveling of new players, It also removes a lot of the type of interactions that made vanilla what it was.

Both should definitely be banned. Boosting is the other cause of people buying gold, same as GDKP.
Heck, at least ban the ones blatantly sending tells to join their discord for RMT boosts and gold buying lol

I don’t care about gdkp but to ban one thing and allow another that shares the same similarity of Cons doesn’t make sense to me. Ban both of them then, but don’t allow one and condemn it’s twin brother.

There have been 10,000 relevant arguments. And even official ones by Blizz. Swipers don’t care. People who miss that swipers’ gold don’t care. Organizers don’t care.
At least you’ve stopped pretending you don’t care about gdkps.
I agree boosting needs to be banned, need to strip summons and mage portals also this does nothing but provide free gold for gold sellers and bots

But anyway, I’ve heard “I don’t care about gdkps” from lots of posters and an hour later they’re saying how anti-gdkpers are scrub players and it’s great for the game and the game will fail apart without it. All of it is just ridiculous cope. They just miss the gold.
Is that unfair to you? Maybe, but you’re the one making pro-gdkp threads and keep defending it. I know these tactics too well. I’ve seen them for years.
