There are tons and tons of bugs. One example off the top of my head: yesterday there were no world quests in Undermine for a lot of people.

Boss encounters are bugged, interface elements are bugged, etc.

I play both games, and FF14 does NOT have weekly maintenance.

I mean to be fair he has a point, though it hasnt happen often unless patch day, Maint use to be 8 hours every tuesday WAY WAY back in the day yes today isnt tuesday but still. Though i wish if they are going to do Maint they will would actually fix things, this is what week 2 or 3 I dont remember lol and the rares in undermine you summon volt in the lake and scraphasher or what ever his name is you loot the stuff but cant click the machine to put the stuff in for half the people.

It has everything to do with what you said, people exploit game mechanics and then we get these random maintenance downtimes… this has always happened.

Unfortunately Blizzard don’t pay attention to our feedback on PTR and push updates to please shareholders. Us as the paying customer get screwed things they are fixing now are bugs we reported when it was still PTR.

going forward, maintenace down time will be scheduled for monday thru saturday 6am to 10pm and sunday the full day.
