I love pushing keys and I do it non stop but I have one big issue with fury why am i capped to hitting 5 cause it’s limiting the aoe you can do my dh friend dosent have a hit cap on eye beam outlaw dosent have a cap on blade flurry unholy cant only apply its disease to 5 targets the only class I can think of is ele shaman but then they have great aoe in earthquake that hits everyone in the area why cause I literally cant keep up with them I dont do bad damage I can hold 45k-55k in higher keys but my dh friend legit only cause he dosent have a cap on any of his aoe can hit 55-60 like I dont have any utility anyways and people dont take me for that. this next season the pulls are going to be way bigger cause of no emissary and I dont want to re roll cause fury is capped to 5 while everyone else hits everything I am not saying remove the cap but uping it to 8 maybe 10 would be great and really help to keep up
It’s because we cleave all the time for free basically. The 5 target cap sucks but at 5 targets Fury Warrior cleave is insane. Like Demon Hunter doesn’t have a hit cap on Eye Beams sure but they also aren’t cleaving with every skill they use.
I am not saying get rid of it but raising it to 8 would be great I am straight not getting inv to 18-19 keys cause of the cap limiting aoe pull cause why everyone else is hitting all 10 mobs I am only hitting 5 and on week like bursting and bolstering that is not good having 5 mobs dieing quick and the rest in the group having higher hp or remove the cap all together and lower the % of cleave from 75%
Dude. Please use periods. It is so hard to read your posts.
On topic: Fury is all but meta for high keys this season. No one is declining you to an 18-19 because of your aoe cap. Fury has unbelievable damage in M+ this season and we are absolutely able to keep up with and even outperform similarly geared rogues and demon hunters. It was a bit of an issue last season and it might be next season but I doubt it.
If they raised our target cap, they would have to nerf the amount we cleaved, or our flat out ST which would nerf everything. I don’t necessarily think it’d be a bad thing if we could cleave a few more targets but do a smaller percentage, at least in M+. This would in turn hurt us in other content though. Our damage on Orgo would take a hit for example. Pvp as well I imagine.
In terms of practical advice - just by looking at some of your keys run I can tell you that your essence choice is holding you back. You’re using Crucible instead of Purification Protocol. You will never be competitive in M+ doing that. I don’t care what affix it is, go PP. Even on tyrannical, a minute improvement in ST is never worth giving up the massive amount of AOE damage that PP brings.
Why not focussing iris?
I dont have pp cause I was raiding last night and didn’t change it all back. I went to bed right after I run it normally. Sry for the lack of periods I am on my phone atm and not use to typing on it.
Ah, I must’ve chosen an unlucky set to look at.
Focusing Iris is one of the minors he uses. Its a great essence. I told him not to use crucible.
wouldn’t mind if meat cleaver increased the cap but that could put bladestorm in an odd spot
our AoE is pretty amazing tho and increasing it would mean sacrificing single target damage
if you want uncapped AoE, arms can keep up just fine with cleave and triple ToM.
I mean purification protocol proc rate is tied to haste stats, so fury can get more proc out during enrage period compare to arms.
And arms cleave had no target capped (as long as mob pack is in the frontal cone range), although you need to stack a lot of strength buff or mastery stat to make the bleed damage become very potent. Not forget stacking huge haste stat to make it tick quicker.
We’d straight up be broken with higher than 5 cleave. If your overall in an M+ is 10k behind your DH buddy its probably on you
You prioritize Mastery over haste and crit for big AoE as arms. Deep Wounds gets stupid silly as pulls get bigger. The default target cap for AoE abilities in WoW is 20, even abilities that can technically hit more stop dealing increased damage at 20 targets and instead redistribute damage evenly between all targets (meaning if you pull 40 mobs you’ll deal half as much damage to each of them than you would if you pulled 20).
Arms and Feral (and Unholy I’ve heard, I don’t know anything about UH though) both sidestep this on the really big pulls, because while Cleave and Primal Wrath both obey that same 20 target damage cap, the damage they deal directly is actually extremely minor, and they apply their bleed to everything, regardless of how many targets there are.
With big pulls in M+ in a full Mastery set, Deep Wounds will be like 50% of you damage. It’s kinda stupid, but it works.
probably my biggest problem with it. it’s just so, dumb. all dmg from one bleed. i love arms play style rn; lucid ToM is very cool but at the end of a key you check damage and…
DEEP WOUNDS
also have you tried GS +ToM at all with those lockjaw shoulders? i really wanna find out how that is
