It is a sneaky way to raise the price. That’s all.
Wow 2 would be cool but it won’t happen. Too many people would dump wow 1 and they’d lose $$$.
Now what they should do over haul the crap out of the game and essentially turn wow in to wow2.
But depends on the game engine they might be limited. But can always figure something out.
I mean they did with Warzone and blew up the old and created Warzone 2 on top of the old one.
But yeah
The not-so-obvious reason is that Blizzard is being bought by Microsoft, so making many years of public plans for WoW in advance makes their jobs more secure.
