I respect my time plenty and allocate it to play the game when I am having fun, and not to when I am not. Seems you have a choice matilda.

Why do we even have to play? Just mail us gear every day.
If you want an instant logout, just go to an Inn.
it’s really annoying when you’re sharing like an ICC or Ulduar lockout with your alts. All that logging back n forth. And you don’t get a choice for Ulduar cause you gotta be inside the instance within the 2 mins before you become group leader.

No they don’t. Stop pretending you have better things to do. You have nowhere else to be. You’re playing a video game.
It also discourages logging out in dangerous areas, at least without clearing them out somewhat, which lessens the chances of the player forgetting about it and later logging back in to a corpse because an Elite was sitting on your head while your pre-SSD was busy loading the game.
You’ll still die if you’re in combat.
Pretty sure the delayed logout was put in to prevent those being attacked from logging out and not dying.
