Why not let people switch to a low pop so they don’t have to lose hours of work?
i just rerolled to a no que server with my friends and now we overleveled our characters on Herod…
fun things happen when you dont spend literal hours on a Q
Talk about blatant lies. I was in a queue for MAYBE an hour, and that was after i rerolled to play with my brother. Only a few servers have had queues that long, the rest have been under 2k.
That’s simply just not true bruh. BLAUMEUX (bloh-me) has like a 30 minute wait at peak, and I often don’t even wait when I get home from work at 5-6. And it’s always high pop until late night early morning, like 3am.
Glad I switched, there are PLENTY of healthy servers out there.
That’s great you switched. I switched a third time also. No one is listening. Some people have hours invested in a server blizzard TOLD people to go to which now has an insane queue. This is blizzards fault.
Because they never said they would. They only said “maybe”.
You’re not owed any answer on “maybe” and you shouldn’t expect it, especially since queues are dying. By next week, this won’t be an issue.
See my previous post
They are communicating. They’re letting everyone know when new servers are available and they’re letting people know when they’ve increased server capacity.
Just because it’s not what you want to see doesn’t mean they aren’t communicating. Perhaps you should take a breather and stop being so outraged at anything that might inconvenience you, especially when this is temporary.
This wasn’t an option for Oceanic players, we got two realms one PVP and one PVE. Everyone made and reserved their chars on these 2.
We ended up with queues of 20,000 and we still have queues of 10,000 on Arugal at peak time. Blizzard added 2 more OCE pvp realms but it was too late. People wanted to keep their names and had already created their characters.
It’s not really fair for anyone to have to recreate and relevel a character because we had little to no choice on Oceanic. Yojamba being added last minute and Felstriker a day after launch was to late.
They have talked about it on the reddit ama, you can review all their comments on the matter on r/classicwow
I’ve seen it and that speaks nothing about free transfers from the mess they caused. Once again, they told people to switch to a server and people did and we are still getting screwed with queues. So we are expected to lose our work or name and switch a third time because of them.
Dude, outside of that Q/A, they never once talked about free transfers.
Stop waiting for something that probably doesn’t exist.
look up ClassiCast #32 its an interview with the devs. at 13:40 seconds they talk about realm transfers.
When like half your customer base is complaining about something you need to address it. Why would you just not respond to multiple complaints of the same thing after your fixes haven’t worked.
Yeah except it’s not. It seems you either
A: have a terrible memory considering this was a couple days ago
B: just feel like lying or
C: you were on the one/two servers that weren’t that bad

If you need a reminder
I have friends/family on four different servers because of the initial server mess/queues
Currently during peak hours there’s about 12 servers that get full with a queue. Out of those 5-6 are truly problematic and out of those 2-3 are just beyond a mess. I guess blizzard is waiting for people to move on their own. The options are simple, you either go play on another server or wait 8 hours to login to faerlina. Or from what im hearing, you find out how to bypass the queues and then you have no issues.
Because server transfers aren’t as one note as you, or anyone complaining about queues on this forum, make them to be.
Adding server transfers for free potentially creates faction imbalance on some servers. It might just move the problems happening on servers like Whitemane and Herod to another server that doesn’t have this problem. You’re not solving anything by adding free server transfers. You’re just temporarily mitigating the problem, only for some other problem to take its place.
If they provide free server transfers for people on lower population servers so that way they can play with their friends who are located on congested servers, what’s to say that the same problems happening right now won’t crop up again? If you’re just going to flood a server in the future because you gave out free transfers, it’s better to wait for the queues to die down so that way the population balances itself out naturally.
If they do provide free server transfers, what happens to the players who opt in to stay on those low pop servers? They’re stuck with dead communities and empty cities.
Do you see the point now? This is not a simple option that everyone complaining about their queues make it out to be, you included.
So either suck it up, wait for queues to die, or just stay on your server with no queues. Blizzard has already given you to the option to get rid of queues. If you can’t deal with that choice you made, that’s on you. Sorry.
Why would they transfer people off low pop? Let people transfer off high pop to target low pop so people can keep their work
And then you’re potentially stuck with once low pop servers that are now full and have queues.
Do you know how businesses work? They don’t irrationally make choices based on what the consumer demands unless it’s severely going to impact them later on.
If Blizzard does provide free transfers, it won’t be today, or tomorrow, or possibly even next week. The servers have only been live for a week. What they’re probably doing, is gauging their analytics and figuring out what they should do next. They’re probably paying attention to the falloff, how fast queues are going down every day, and so forth. Adding server transfers to that mix would make it significantly more difficult to gauge how healthy server populations are going to be, how congested some are going to stay, and whether or not there’s going to be a faction imbalance.
A business that would make such rash decisions on a whim is not a good business.
