For those of you who raid in classic we’ve all at one time or another said “loot the dog!”. What I want to know is if there is an addon that shows when you hover over the mob who’s loot it is? That way we can say “hey , < insert name> come loot the dog so we can skin it!”. I know I have seen an addon like this before , but it has been so long and I dont’ remember. Any help would be great.

Nope, can’t happen. There’s nothing in the API to do this.
How will I purposefully not loot skinnable mobs when I get yelled at by pugs to loot everything?!?!

There is no way in the API to do this.
There are some approximations you could try but they wouldn’t be accurate every time so you would just look like a jerk when you called out the wrong person lol.

You wont need something like this. Youll be Wiping on Trash anyhow.
Isn’t the loot order always the same? Like in a 5 man it will just cycle from Group Leader (First person in the group the group, doesn’t have to be leader) down to the 5th then repeat.
I imagine it’s the same with a raid. After the first Hound has been looted the addon could figure out the rest. Never made WoW addon nor do I know Lua but maybe this could be a cool project.

Only issue is that everyone in the raid needs it. Its more catered to guild runs and not pugs. its the only thing ive seen
Yeah my guild uses it. Works well, so long as everyone involved has the addon.
