Wowhead or Icyveins?

Which site is your go-to?

Or is it something else for the best current info/builds?

There isn’t any real consistency for each site. Each spec guide’s author can change from 1 patch to the next. Sometimes I think the same person writes for both sites. The guides are just one person’s opinion, usually that person is very experienced but it’s still just an opinion. Look at both and just go by what looks best in your opinion.

I use them both to be honest. I draw up comparisons and see which feels better to me. Mostly to figure out talents and conduits

There is so much wrong with both wowhead and icyveins.

Out of those 2? Icyveins

I tend to use logs and class Discords

Class discords will def be your best option. Icy veins is fine for the basics but really lacks nuance.

100% not Havoc DH on wowhead lol

I use Wowhead for almost everything. Some is outdated however and I think they could spend more time (and/or hire more people to) do it.

Overall though, they do a good job.

Class Discords usually have the best information at this point

I read both, and then do my own thing.

Both; and they are what they are. Mostly posted from the PTR phase and rarely updated unless it is a major patch. No one will disagree much with stat priority or what enchant to use for your weapon.

That said, I miss the bloggers. You might find a hunter blog that goes through the current raid and (maybe) report that feign death can negate a boss spell or binding shot looks like it might work but doesn’t. Those were the real good days before Wowhead became the Walmart of the World of Warcraft and pushed all the mom and pop bloggers out of existence.

Rant continues: once an ideal spot to read comments for solutions, a lot of those comment sections are totally empty on Wowhead and this site is the default go-to place for the WoW support people!

Both Icyveins and Wowhead do their job, it is not a massive all-encompassing site by any means. Headlines and clicks, but there I am everyday reading up on the news.
