During the stress test, I found it much better to grind boars and scorpids outside valley of trials instead of doing crowded quests. Who’s with me? Who will brave the wilds of durotar before our time? Who will taste the poison of scorpids? Who will feast on the meat of boars?
Well now it might be just as slow
Some quests are never worth it when there are massive amounts of people.
Kill quests, like 12 boars or vile familiars, with 50+ people camping each spawn point. Nope, move on.
It’s definitely faster to just sit and try to quest in the same zone. You will not gain anything by leaving the zone early to grind higher level mobs to avoid the pack. It is definitely not worth running around to discover zones for experience early on, either.
:-^)
Depends on my schedule might just grind the furst few levels with buddies.
It really just depends on how crowded everything is, although I’ll be rolling a warlock and there is at least one quest I must complete before leaving my starting area and that is the imp quest. I’ll have to stay as long as it takes to get that one done.
I’ve been debating about it, it just really depends on how it goes on release.
It’s good to have options planned though.
From the two stress tests I was able to reliably get quests done from boars to sarkoth and gave up on the vile familiars in order to grind outside. While outside I probably was leveling a bit slower, but got the level 6 by grinding in about 40 minutes. The mobs give you somewhere between 70-80 xp each and you will be sharing them with a few others who got fed up.
