Really you made it only 4 bosses? You really screwed up normal and heroic groups, where nobody wants to finish the raids now!
…just do last wing 2 wings in LFR to complete quest, and most people are out geared for Normal so no one really runs that anymore esp now that quest can complete with LFR
For those of us with more alts and need to run normals, nobody wants to run them anymore since this new quest only requires 4 bosses to get free heroic gear!
Don’t automatically invite the highest ilvl players who sign up and it won’t be a problem.
Of course someone who’s 670 will not stick around until the end.
Nobody stuck around above 620, they got their 4 and everybody left on way to Sprocket!
Sounds like the group was just bad then. Or players simply don’t trust pugs to be able to handle mechanics in the back half of the raid. The items buyable with cartel chips are extremely limited, 620s are still gonna need to do a lot more content for gear.
This would explain why my LFR clears got significantly faster this week. All the norm players have bailed on norm and instead flooded the LFR queue.

Not necessarily even my fresh 80 has access to the heroic gear, since the loot is opened account wide… Now new accounts are worse off than before, will make it now even harder to get groups.
It really could be 8 bosses
Though I’m surprised anyone is doing more than LFR for them, right now LFR is steamroll easy with how geared most people are doing it for dinars
Maybe they are doing it for vault slots and dinars 2in1combo
It’s just one piece. That alone wouldn’t be the reason for fewer normal runs. Now that everyone has enough catalyst charges to instantly have 4/4 upon hitting 80 (or loading up a shelved alt for the season), there’s little reason to run normal, when you can just to heroic and m+.

The entire purpose of Cartel Chips is to give loot to teams that are extending. Mythic teams that are extending are already doing Vexie/Bandit/Mugzee/Gallwix, using the skip, to farm stuff like Jastor Diamonds on Heroic.
The entire set-up of Cartel Chips makes total sense, if you know what they’re actually there for.
ya bc BOA gear/Warband gear is better then normal raid also soo no point in stepping foot in the raid on Normal anymore
What really is screwing up your groups is the error in the quest text. People assume it has to be normal or heroic because that’s what it says. Otherwise, they would spend 15 minutes killing 4 lfr bosses and go on with their day
Most pugs aren’t finished as is. They die usually on Stock, Bandit or if they’re lucky Mug.
A full clear is exceptionally rare, and out of all the pugs I have done, no small amount, only one attempted Gally that were not my own.
The Dinar thing hasn’t changed that too much.
Normal raids have no real place in the game now. T8 delves give equivalent ilvl gear at an INCREDIBLY easy and guaranteed pace.
Of course because it is raiding and Blizzard caters to raiders the hardest, it has objectively stronger items but the power differential with them isn’t worth the absurdly low drop chance and the fact it still is a normal quality item in the first place.
I have 6 toons that are over 660 ilvl before this turbo event started and 1 that raids. Rest have been gearing near exclusively from delves maximizing gilded crests in tandem with the spark every 2 weeks to craft a 675.
And it takes maybe 2 hours per toon to not only get their 4 keys but to run the bountiful delves for that day (3 on 11 and last on 8 with the bounty map used in an 11 also).
Looks normal to me. On Raid, somebody leaves after each Boss kill. And it’s a downtime everytime that group looks for replacement. That’s why I hate raiding.
If you get 4 straight Bosses kill without replacement downtime, that’s an improvement.
I think the group I joined on an alt yesterday cleared the first 4 and trash pulls in 15 minutes. Got the quest done on my alt faster than I was able to cook a pizza. I expected to have to “afk to take out my pizza” somewhere in there and when I got done and logged off I had a few minutes left on the timer. Not super geared people either. Average was 650ish, but everyone knew what to do and blasted at the same time.
It’d be a super easy time to get a normal clear for anyone that hasn’t bothered with raid yet. There are groups for first 4 and last 4 bosses that are stomping through them.
I have done it on three toons so far. All three times, it was a full run with no issues. There are some groups listed for 4 bosses, but you can easily find full runs.
Just run mythic plus for gear.
