Someone really lost the plot on this one.
After months of that terrible dagger being useless - to suddenly go back and make it BiS is bordering on trolling. Most guilds run some kind of master loot system - and that dagger was so useless most MLs just DE’d it - so there’s no way for those guilds who saw it to even hand it out IF we were to go back and get it restored.
So now MUT rogues are stuck in BWL and AQ20 gear forever (AQ20 gear which blocks TWO other current BiS slots BTW) unless we get another full raid together to take a gamble at KTZ. Who thought this was a good idea?? Even IF we see Queensfall - its a net dps LOSS without the matching rectonned Naxx set dagger.
WHO thought this made sense? In 20 years, when have the devs gone back and made the new BiS need some random terrible old raid gear after that raid is no longer the end game content??
The especially egregious part is that any “options” arent even close in DPS to the BWL class dagger and the 3 piece set from AQ20. We’d take a huge dps hit swapping either of those daggers for anything that drops in SE.
Just really poor design guys. By the way - since apparently your plan was to have us run Naxx weekly again in addition to SE, maybe make the Remnants of Valor DO anything? Like buy Reals, buy set pieces, buy the shoulder buffs (another terrible idea btw) just…anything. Most people have at least 2k just taking up bank space - at least let us use it.

I hope they make the ST dagger off Eranikus BiS next - got two of those chillin in my bank…
After Sunken Temple every guild should of learned that gear can eventually become good. If no one wants it give it to the person who most likely could use it and then have the vendor it and give that gold to the guild bank. Then if they could eventually used it they could item restoration. I am surprised none of your Mutilate Rogues picked it up for the chance that Backstab was better in SE, since Kingsfall was BiS for backstab last phase.
Edit: I do want to say I do think it is bad design though as people could have got unlucky and it is hard to go back and do previous content for a rare drop.

Even funnier was it became overnight bis for like 3 classes and then they nerfed it for everyone except rogues like 2 weeks later. You know, after all the warriors took one because daggers became ST bis by miles.

Most guilds seem to be using ThatsmyBiS lists at this point - and because of enchants, guild progress, etc, - most people dont just hoard gear in hopes that one day it will get retconned into being good lol - just kind of a selfish thing to do.

Honestly this kinda makes me think of the people who got rid of their T2.5 before SE dropped only to realize it was BiS (at least for Rets) through SE until you gradually replace it with T3.5, at least a certain style was.
