In your opinion

Who should get priority on Hand of Ragnaros via Eye of Sulfuras?

I won’t leave my opinion because I want people to lead with their own opinion regardless of mine.

Edit: By “who” I mean what class.

Hunters. /thread

If it were my guild, everyone who had enough dkp or whatever system i used would be able to bid on it. Then if that was equal, i might do a /roll or something. Would not play class favorites. But im not nor have i ever beena guild leader. But wow is easy, dont need to be so min max with the fun controversial stuff…just fair.

Flat out, whatever Paladin or Shaman OR Warrior that exemplifies teamwork, dedication, sacrifice, and wants it.

No one wants to be a Hammersmith. The guy that does so might incidentally find himself deserving of Sulfuras on that metric alone. But Warriors and Paladins have options aside from Sulfuras. Shamans do not.

It is an item for the guild to net applicants and meme over. It is not BiS nor sentient. Whatever guy from those 3 classes works for it, deserves it.

Spinal Reaper is not that bad cmon now.

I agree that whoever puts in the effort to make the Sulfuron Hammer deserves credit. Hopefully that is also someone who will mash people with it in PvP. It’s a shame to see a Sulfuras be used only for DPS.

Items like Thunderfury and Atiesh move mountains in PvE. From what I recall Sulfuras finds it’s place in PvP more than PvE so I’d say that whatever Paladin/Shaman/Warrior who has dedicated himself most to the raids that wants it. I’d say that this would fall under the DKP System as the winner will have had to attend most or all raids held by the guild prior with acceptable buffs and consumables.

It’s a 100% pvp weapon, so whoever wants it.

I’d give Shaman/Paladin consideration over warrior, however, as even in PvP, warriors should prefer a sword (Ashkandi, Bonereaver’s, arguably even untamed Blade) or possibly an axe with good proc (Spinal Reaper, Dark Edge of Insanity).

No, but there are no options aside from that until BWL and The Unstoppable Force. Warriors ranking to 14 will take the first few weapons off of Rag typically. This leaves Shamans that maybe work their tail off in 5-mans for Sulfuras, as Warriors aren’t going to prioritize Mace specialization over Sword or Axes.

What he said.

Classic isn’t like live, not every spec is raid viable.
There is not a single raid viable spec that uses 2 hand mele weapons, so hand of rag goes to which ever pally/shaman/warrior who is rich / dedicated enough to craft it and who will actually use it to help others in the guild pvp for gear upgrades that will help pve progression.

It is very clearly a hunter weapon, as are all weapons.

I think the guild Nightfall b*tch should get it.

But honestly the GM if they can wield it… it’s mostly just status symbol once BWL is available.

Give it to your feral Druid tank. They haven’t had an upgrade since LVL 43.

This still isn’t an upgrade, but it looks nice.

its not worth the trouble of crafting it for warriors, they have better options that are easier to get.

its questionable if its worth it for pallys too, but it has to go to someone i guess

shaman can make very good use of it in pvp, and its bis until late naxx. give it to them

I think the person who contributes a lot to the guild(gold+mats wise & community) and has promise of staying.
It’s definitely an iconic looking mace and is beaten by weapons in bwl but mostly used for a mascot means. In a large scale it can be a Warrior or Paladin weapon.

To answer your question more specifically I think it’s a Paladin weapon. They don’t need to spend much gold on consumables in raids(hence spare gold for crafting it).

You don’t have to be a hammersmith. You get the recipe by trading an ingot. I was a swordsmith and could make the hammer.

the problem with sulfuas is it’s bascially a pvp only item as it does a lot of fire damage which is useless in bwl and MC. so i wouldn’t care who got it as a pve person.

enh shamans, if there actually is one for some reason, should get priority because bonereaver’s edge is better for PvE, with orcs getting negative priority because spinal reaper
for the alliance, humans should get priority; not sure if warriors or retadins want it more, but there probably won’t be any retadins
